Zac Efron Replaces Jamie Dornan In Dakota Johnson’s ‘Fifty Shades Darker’?

Fifty Shades Darker is slated to release on February 10, 2017. Before the release of the erotic feature film, there are reports that the production team is not excited by Jamie Dornan’s on-screen performance with Dakota Johnson, and they are supposedly thinking to replace the lead actor with Zac Efron. So, if things go according to recent news, then in Fifty Shades Freed, fans will get to see Efron getting intimate with Johnson.

17 Again star, Efron, who earlier dated Vanessa Hudgen, was spotted filming for Fifty Shades Freed. According to GamenGuide, Efron will be replacing Dornan in Fifty Shades Freed, as the actor has finally decided to quit filming the last part in the trilogy. The report further suggested that fans have been speculating about the change in the character of Christian Grey if the team decides to replace him with Efron.

Not only this, before the commencement of Fifty Shades Darker’s production, there was speculation that the lead pair might get fired from the Fifty Shades of Grey sequel. Amid of all the leaked pictures from the film’s set, there were reports that the author of the bestselling erotic thriller series was not happy with Johnson and Dornan’s on-screen chemistry and was having second thoughts on the cast.

Earlier this year, it was reported that E.L. James does not like the way her story is progressing with these stars. The 53-year-old British writer has allegedly decided to fire the actor and was in a mood to hire someone who is more efficient in portraying the role. A source close to the production was quoted by The Sun via Fashion Style as saying:

“Erica needs someone who can step in and make this role their own very quickly.”

It was previously reported that Dornan and his wife Amelia Warner are busy in taking care of their newborn child, and that is why he is not able to concentrate on portraying billionaire Grey, who enjoys BDSM. According to Enstarz, if the production crew winds up replacing him, then Johnson will have to shoot a major portion with the new actor and it will further delay the release of the movie.

So, is Fifty Shades Darker is going to be Jamie Dornan’s last film in the erotic thriller series?

There were earlier reports that the actor had also agreed to go full frontal just to show his dedication towards the character he is portraying in the film. An insider revealed to Hollywood Life that Dornan has been offered a substantial bonus to reveal everything in the upcoming sequels. The decision from the studio came into effect after the poor reviews of Fifty Shades of Grey, and now the filming crew wants to do just about anything to spice things up between the stars.

“They’re offering Jamie a bonus of $1.5 million to do a full-frontal scene in Fifty Shades Darker. That’s just a starting figure. Jamie would be crazy not to consider it,” the source revealed.

Dornan recently stated that if the director and the script will demand, then he has no problem in revealing everything. In an interview with People Magazine, the actor said that he is very excited to again portray his character in the upcoming erotic film.

“I’m looking forward to embodying Christian again – and getting a chance to show more of him.”

The recent updates do not officially confirm the possibility of Jamie Dornan getting fired from Fifty Shades Darker, and Zac Efron getting intimate with Dakota Johnson in Fifty Shades Freed. But the fans of the erotic thriller are indeed hoping to see something more exciting in the upcoming two movies that are slated to release in February 2017 and February 2018.
