Xbox Live Gold members are in for even bigger deals, as they have additional 10 percent discount for the digital deals, according to Attack of the Fanboy. For instance, Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate are both on sale until next Monday. Non-Xbox Live Gold members are getting 50 percent discount while Gold subscribers can purchase Ubisoft’s 2015 action-adventure video game with a whopping 60 percent price markdown. The game’s Gold Edition is also on sale.
Other Assassin’s Creed titles with reduced pricing via the Xbox Ultimate Game Sale are Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, Assassin’s Creed Unity for the Xbox One users, and Assassin’s Creed 1 and 2 for the Xbox 360 owners.
The critically-acclaimed Grand Theft Auto 5 for both Xbox consoles is also discounted this week. Xbox Live Gold members can avail their own copy of Rockstar North’s open-world action adventure title released in November 2014 with a 40 percent discount. GTA 5, according to Guinness World Records, was able to break six world records, including the highest revenue garnered by an entertainment product in 24 hours. It was also the fastest entertainment property to earn $1 billion. GTA game bundles are also getting price markdowns such as GTA 5 and White Shark Cash Card and Grand Theft Auto V & Megalodon Shark Cash Card Bundle.
Another huge video game franchise on sale through Ultimate Game Sale 2016 is Call of Duty, a first-person shooter published by Activision. For Gold members, the standard version of COD: Black Ops 3 for the Xbox One is 40 percent cheaper while the Digital Deluxe Edition gets a 25 percent discount. Meanwhile, Xbox One gamers can also save from discounts offered for Advanced Warfare Digital Pro Edition and the Gold Edition. The standard Xbox 360 version of COD: Advanced Warfare is also part of the Ultimate Game Sale.
Getting the biggest discount in the entire list of video games included in Ultimate Game Sale is The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition, an action role-playing hack-and-slash title released in 2011 and developed by CD Projekt and CD Projekt RED that is regularly worth $19.99, as specified on its Xbox Marketplace product page. During Xbox’s biggest summer sale, Xbox Live Gold members can have it with a whopping 80 percent discount.
The Witcher 2’s game summary, as posted on Metacritic, reads as follows.
“The second installment in the RPG saga about the Witcher, Geralt of Rivia, features a thoroughly engrossing, mature storyline defining new standards for thought-provoking, non-linear game narration. In addition to an epic story, the game features an original, brutal combat system that uniquely combines tactical elements with dynamic action. A new, modern game engine, responsible for beautiful visuals and sophisticated game mechanics puts players in the most lively and believable world ever created in an RPG game.”
Offered for the first time in the Ultimate Game Sale are discounted Windows PC games. Some of the popular PC titles that are going to be on sale starting tomorrow are Rise of The Tomb Raider, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, and Quantum Break. A special pricing for the Xbox One console will also be offered via the Ultimate Game Sale this year.
