Johnny Depp Sends Scathing Message To Amber Heard Via Altered Tattoo

Johnny Depp is sending a scathing message to estranged wife Amer Heard without even opening his mouth. Instead, Depp is letting an altered tattoo do all the talking for him. With just a few minor changes to the ink on his knuckles, Johnny Depp has gone from a declaration of devotion to Amber Heard to a burning dismissal.

Let this be a lesson in why people should never tattoo other people’s names on their bodies. That stuff is permanent.

Depp had the word Slim, which is Amber Heard’s nickname, emblazoned across his knuckles shortly after the two married last year, and it’s this tattoo that has reportedly been altered. The “Slim” tattoo was done in capital letters, but sometime in the last week, Depp decided having Heard’s nickname winking up from his own hand every time he looked down was simply too much, and so he had a few of the letters altered.

Specifically, he had the L changed to a C, and the I to a U. And for those of you now furiously trying to decipher what Depp now has as a tattoo, his knuckles have gone from reading SLIM to SCUM.

Ouch.

The couple is in the middle of a very bitter divorce that includes domestic violence allegations made against Depp by Heard. Heard originally filed for a court order against husband Depp at the end of May, just days after filing for a divorce. The restraining order, which was originally granted by the Court after Heard, with a bruised face, stated that Depp threw an iPhone at her face. The restraining order will remain in place until the hearing, which has been postponed, takes place on August 15, according to reports.

The court date was postponed at the very last minute, — less than 24 hours before Heard and Depp were due in court — and TMZ reports that Depp may be dishing out quite a chunk of change in spousal support to Heard. Amber made a request for a monthly maintenance amount of $50,000, and it’s rumored that Depp was “agreeable” to the terms, for up to eight months.

It is reported that both Depp and Heard are anxious to keep the battle between themselves, and so they may be trying to make a mutual agreement about spousal support and division of property in order to keep such decisions out of court and the public eye.

But Depp’s tattoo, which was spotted by an eagle-eyed fan during a musical performance by Depp, is now very much in the public eye.

This is not even the first time veteran actor Johnny Depp has made the decision to tattoo a current love on his body, only to have to change it when the romance fizzled out. When he was dating actress Winona Ryder, he not only had the words “Winona Forever” carved into his flesh, he actually had a picture of Winona herself emblazoned on his arm.

When the love between he and Winona proved to be of a shorter duration than forever, Depp had a rather awkward black rectangle inked over the tattoo of Winona clad in a bathing suit on his bicep, and then had the words “Winona Forever” changed to “Wino Forever.”

Again, let this serve as a reminder that tattooing the name of your current love interest on your body is not always in your body’s own best interest.

Even though Depp literally inked her face out, Winona spoke out in defense of Johnny Depp, after Amber Heard’s allegations of domestic abuse came to light.

“I can only speak from my own experience, which was wildly different than what is being said,” Ryder said. “He was never, never that way towards me. Never abusive at all towards me. I only know him as a really good, loving, caring guy who is very, very protective of the people that he loves.”
