Angelina Jolie And Brad Pitt Split Confirmed? Rumors Of Cheating And Her Health Concerns To Blame

Are Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt on the verge of a divorce? Reports of a split have the plagued the couple in recent months. Now, it appears as though things are turning for the worse.

According to the Hollywood Gossip, Jolie has already started talking to lawyers about drawing up divorce papers.

"Angie is ready to divorce Brad," an insider explained. "She's fed up with what her life has become and wants to make a change."

Apparently, Jolie met with her lawyers last week about divorcing Pitt. This meeting surprised Pitt, who quickly flew to Los Angeles to update his attorneys on the situation.

"He was blindsided, but he'll meet with his lawyer to discuss his options regarding custody and protecting his earnings," the insider continued. "The divorce is bound to get ugly."

Jolie and Pitt met during their work on Mr. & Mr. Smith and eventually married in 2014. They have six children together, many of them adopted.

According to the International Business Times, the divorce could prove costly to both stars. In fact, the settlement is estimated to top $450 million and includes multiple properties around the world.

In order to make things easier, Jolie and Pitt are planning on selling their luxurious property in France, the Chateau Miraval.

Although divorce rumors have circulated for months, the final straw came after a dramatic fight in London. Jolie and Pitt are currently in the U.K. while he finished up his newest film.

"She's fed up with what her life has become and wants to make a change," the source stated.

To complicate matters further, Pitt faced rumors of infidelity with Marion Cotillard, his co-star in the movie Allied.

This isn't the first time Pitt has been embroiled in an affair. Back in 2005, when Pitt was married to Jennifer Aniston, he allegedly had an affair with Jolie.

After dating for several years, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie married. The couple hoped their union would strengthen their relationship.

"Despite their longstanding issues, Brad and Angie truly thought that getting married would bring them closer together," an insider explained. "The kids pressured them [to get married], and it seemed like the right decision at the time."

Unfortunately, the problems in their relationship have re-surfaced, and things have started to deteriorate.

"But now the situation is a mess," the source added. "The tension is constant, and it's taking a heavy toll on them. They've hung on for 10 years, but right now there's very little light at the end of the tunnel."

That being said, the breakup reports have not been confirmed. Instead, an inside source told Gossip Cop that the reports of a divorce are untrue.

Not only has Pitt been faithful to his wife, but Jolie is more than happy with how her life has turned out. At the same time, Celeb Dirty Laundry reports that Pitt and Jolie recently put up a united front during an appearance on the Today show.

"Whatever's got to be done to keep the family together and keep the family together as long as possible is gonna be done," Pitt shared.

The couple went through a difficult time after Jolie had a double mastectomy and a hysterectomy. Despite the struggles, the two weathered the storm and have remained together.

"I knew through the surgeries that he was on my side and that this wasn't something where I was gonna feel less of a woman, because my husband wasn't gonna let that happen," Jolie added.

At this point, it's too early to tell what is going on behind the scenes. Until more information is released, rumors of a potential divorce will likely persist.
