Christy Sheats 911 Call: Chilling Audio Shows Daughters Begging For Their Lives Before Mother Guns Them Down
Christy Sheats killed her two young daughters in a horrifying and puzzling shooting this weekend, and now newly released 911 audio gives even more tragic details to the case.
The 42-year-old Texas woman allegedly called a family meeting on Friday and then pulled out a handgun, shooting her two daughters — 17-year-old Madison Sheats and 22-year-old Taylor Sheats. The girls fled into the street but Christy Sheats chased them down, shooting them again.
Madison died on the scene but Taylor was rushed to a hospital, where she later died. Neighbors and the girls themselves made calls to 911, and when police arrived they reportedly found Christy Sheats standing over the body of Madison and still holding the gun. After Christy did not respond to an officer telling her to drop the weapon, the officer opened fire, killing Christy.

Details have begun to trickle out about the shocking killings, including newly released audio from 911 calls that came from the Sheats girls.
As the Huffington Post noted, the girls could be heard begging for their lives while Christy Sheats opened fire on them.
“In calls from Taylor Sheats, 22, and Madison Sheats, 17, they both can be heard begging their mother to put the gun down. ‘Please, don’t shoot. Please, I’m sorry. Don’t do it,’ one of the young women urges.
“The voice of a man, presumably the girls’ father, Jason Sheats, 45, can be heard saying: ‘I’m sorry! I promise you whatever you want.'”
In another call, a neighbor could be heard warning police that Christy Sheats was chasing down the girls after shooting them. At one point, Christy’s gun ran out of ammunition and she went back into the house to reload.
“Hopefully, she’s not getting any more bullets because it looks like she’s going to need some more bullets,” the neighbor said.
After a pause, the caller told 911 dispatchers that Christy Sheats was indeed back with more ammunition.
“She’s coming back again… she has bullets now,” he said.
The audio of the Christy Sheats shooting 911 calls can be heard below, but be warned that it can be disturbing for some listeners.
While little is known about the motive behind the shooting, police said they had been to the Sheats household a number of times in recent years for mental health-related issues for Christy Sheats.

A family member also revealed that Taylor Sheats was supposed to have her wedding day on Monday.
“Y’all were a part of our family and that will never change,” the relative wrote in a post cited by KTRK-TV. “The greatest in-laws anyone could ever have, and the sweetest, most wholesome and caring girls in my life. I look up to ya’ll so much. Y’all were a light in the midst of this crazy world. We will all love you two until the end of time.”
And in another tragic turn, the double homicides took place on the 45th birthday of Jason Sheats, who by the end of the day had lost both his daughter and his wife.
Neighbors said they saw no signs of violence from the family and that they appeared to be a loving family. Neighbor Austin Enke, who attended school with Madison, told KHOU that the killings shocked the neighborhood.
And before the shooting that left both of her daughters dead, other neighbors said Christy Sheats was seen as a “nice” mother who had a close relationship with her daughters. In 2015, Christy even shared a post on Facebook that read, “Happy Daughter’s Day to my two amazing, sweet, kind, beautiful, intelligent girls. I love and treasure you both more than you could ever possibly know.”
