‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’: Joseline Hernandez And Althea Heart Are Headed To Court Over Reunion Show Brawl

Joseline Hernandez may finally be forced to pay up for the Althea Heart beatdown during the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta reunion show two seasons ago. After all the depositions and then waiting on the court system, it looks like Joseline and Althea are finally getting their day in front of the judge.

The Jasmine Brand reported that court docs confirm a July 11 court date has been set to finally resolve the lawsuit Althea Heart filed against Joseline Hernandez after the Season 3 reunion show. Both Joseline and Althea are required to appear and will have to testify if the judge requests more information before making a decision.

It was during the Season 3 reunion show for LHHATL that Joseline attacked Althea on stage. She and Stevie J had been feuding publicly with Althea and her fiance Benzino. Within the first few minutes of the reunion show taping, a few insults were thrown between the two couples and things seemed to reach a head when Benzino and Althea began talking about Joseline’s drug problem on the set.

After a very brief exchange between Stevie and Benzino, Joseline stood up and charged across the reunion show stage. In the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta footage, Joseline Hernandez can be seen punching Althea Heart in the face. After she was separated from Althea, Joseline turned and attacked another cast member Tammy Rivera before producers removed her from the set. On her way back to the dressing room area, Hernandez crossed paths with Mimi Faust and attacked her, too. The reunion show taping was suspended at that point, and Joseline was sent home.

There were a few witnesses to the LHHATL reunion show brawl that claim Joseline was smoking crack cocaine in her dressing room before the taping began. Althea claimed that Joseline was on drugs as well and continues to maintain that claim even though Joseline has denied it.

Love & Hip Hop Atlanta producers tried to sit down both couples on separate occasions and talk to them about the huge feud that had erupted between them but that didn’t seem to help the growing hatred between Joseline and Althea. It was soon after that when fans learned that Benzino and Althea had been fired but Stevie J and Joseline would remain even though Joseline was clearly the aggressor.

Mona Scott-Young never confirmed why Althea and Benzino were canned or confirmed any of the rumors. Althea has been very vocal about why she thinks she was fired. She believes that because of Joseline and Stevie J’s enormous popularity at the time, they requested that Benzino and Althea be removed and that it had worked.

Joseline Hernandez was forced to answer questions about Love & Hip Hop Atlanta as well as the alleged attack on Althea Heart during a 4-hour deposition related to the lawsuit. In it, Joseline famously claimed that much of the VH1 reality show was scripted and that many of her co-stars were playing a part. Apparently, the LHHATL reunion show beatdown was part of that script or at least that’s what Hernandez would like others to believe.

“With reality TV, it’s called reality, but it’s a lot of acting. I say that because a lot of the girls that’s on the show, they act. So it’s a lot of acting in a reality TV show,” Joseline explained in the filmed deposition.

Althea Heart’s lawsuit against Joseline Hernandez is asking for damages in connection with her injuries during the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Season 3 reunion show.
