Kourtney Kardashian is revealing her big plans to change her three children’s last name to Kardashian in an attempt to stop Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian from having the only Kardashian baby.
Kourtney made the surname confession in the June 26 episode of E!’s Keeping Up with the Kardashians according to Entertainment Tonight, where she admitted that she could change Mason, Penelope and Reign’s last name from Disick to Kardashian to carry on the world-famous last name after learning of Chyna’s pregnancy.
During a conversation about the baby news with Kylie Jenner’s ex-boyfriend, Tyga, who also has a baby with Blac Chyna, the rapper told Kourtney that Blac is “gonna carry on the legacy, like, if she has a boy.”
Kardashian then admitted, with her three children’s father in the room, “I could change my kids’ last names,” to which Scott Disick was understandably less than thrilled.
“What the f***,” Scott hit back at Kourtney. “I’m sitting right here you sick f***!”
But despite Kourtney’s admission that she “could” change Mason, Penelope and Reign’s last name from Disick to Kardashian so that Blac “couldn’t have the last name first,” Kourtney then admitted that her suggestion was actually just “a joke.”
But despite Kourtney revealing in the episode that her last name confession was nothing but a joke, a number of Keeping Up with the Kardashians fans took to social media to speculate over Kourtney’s admission.
“Nah Kourtney is so petty. She said she could change her kids last name so Chyna’s baby wasn’t the only Kardashian” @_chrissycakes wrote on the social media site, while @Fairydustmagic tweeted out, “@kourtneykardash you want to change your children’s last name… I seriously can’t believe you Kourtney. I thought you were better than that.”
Kourtney Kardashian’s confession came just weeks after Blac Chyna revealed that she was ready to change her last name to Kardashian after she and Rob tie the knot.
Back in May, TMZ revealed that Chyna had taken the necessary legal steps to secure the last name Kardashian for herself after she and Rob have walked down the aisle, allowing Chyna to go by the name Angela Renee Kardashian as she attempts to promote herself and her products.
The site reported at the time that Blac had decided to ditch her birth name, Angela White, and adopt Angela Kardashian “for entertainment services, television and movie appearances” as well as allowing her to use the name for “party hosting” and her career as “a social media celebrity.”
But Blac isn’t the only member of the only non-Kardashian last named member of the reality clan considering changing their name to Kardashian.
Long before Kourtney joked about changing her children’s surnames to block Blac Chyna, Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner admitted to Khloe Kardashian that she was considering changing her name back to the infamous last name following her split with Caitlyn Jenner last year.
E! News reported that Kris was contemplating adopting the name after the site posted a deleted scene from Keeping Up with the Kardashians in which Jenner admitted she wanted to revert back to her first married name.
Kris claimed in the clip that she sometimes refers to herself as “Kris Kardashian” during a conversation with Khloe, who then hit back “Your name isn’t Kris Kardashian!”
“Why don’t you go back to your maiden name?” Khloe asked her mom, admitting that she feels becoming a Kardashian again would be “insulting” to her half-sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
“If Bruce can change his name to Caitlyn, I think I’m good,” Kris then replied, though it’s not yet clear if she’ll go ahead with the name change.
