Taylor Swift, ‘I Don’t Want People to Think of Me As Sexy’
In the video, a nude wax replica of Taylor, 26, is seen laying in the bed next to a wax replica of Kanye. Other famous faces and body doubles include Kim Kardashian, rapper Chris Brown, Rihanna, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, Amber Rose, Caitlyn Jenner, Vogue editor Anna Wintour, Bill Cosby, and former president George W. Bush. Swift’s current boyfriend, Tom Hiddleston, 35, has been supportive to the pop star.
Swift revealed to the Telegraph she does not want to be seen as “sexy” in her career or in life.
“I don’t want people to think of me as sexy … it’s just a life decision. I like wearing pretty dresses and I like trying out new styles but I don’t feel comfortable taking my clothes off.”
Taylor tells Lucky magazine she is uncomfortable showing her belly button and only shows her lower rib cage.
“I don’t like showing my belly button. When you start showing your belly button then you’re really committing to the midriff thing. I only partially commit to the midriff thing-you’re only seeing lower rib cage.”
A source close to Swift told Hollywood Life, “Taylor is livid and horrified. She didn’t know what to do when she heard about what Kanye did. She is bewildered, feels betrayed, and is beyond frustrated with Kanye. It is like a complete nightmare.”
This is understandable considering Taylor’s shy about showing her belly button.
“As far as anyone knows based on my public appearances, they haven’t seen evidence of a belly button. It could be pierced. They have no idea.” She says, “If I’m going to get some sort of massive tattoo, it’s going to be right next to my belly button because no one’s ever going to see that.”
Swift discusses not wearing small amounts of clothing in real life therefore she would not wear small amounts of clothes during a photo-shoot.
“I wouldn’t wear tiny amounts of clothing in my real life so I don’t think it’s necessary to wear that stuff in photo-shoots.”
Swift, by her own admission, “over thinks and overanalyzes everything” and as a result, her public appearances are a little too controlled. Taylor told the Telegraph, “I worry I might come off in a way that I can’t control.”
Now that Swift’s wholesome image is under fire, a representative from Swift’s camp released statement about the lyrics in Kanye’s new song.
“Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that b****h famous.’ ”
Chris Brown is the only celebrity who has publicly commented on Kanye’s video, he did this directly from Instagram. “Why I gotta have the plumbers butt/ crack showing WAX figure?????????????????. This n***a KANYE CRAZY, talented, but crazy????????????????”
The music video for “Famous” streamed simultaneously on Tidal while it premiered live at the Forum in Los Angeles on Friday night. No official version of the video has been made public, but the clips of the controversial video made its rounds on Twitter. In Touch Weekly reports Taylor is going over options with her team.
“She knew he was unpredictable but didn’t think he would go so far… She’s strategizing with her team as to what her next move should be. She’s weighing all her options and will then respond accordingly. Just writing a song dissing him isn’t enough payback for something like this.”
