There’s a new lady in the OC.
Season 11 of the Real Housewives of Orange County will add Kelly Meza-Dodd to the mix. What will Dodd bring to the table as Orange County’s newest troublemaker?
During an interview with E! Online, Dodd opened up about how her personality fits in with the other ladies on the show.
“My personality, I probably just speak before I think. I’m unfiltered,” she explained. “A little uncouth. I say it the way it is. I have a big personality.”
If Dodd is unafraid to speak her mind, then fans can definitely expect a few fights this season.
Although she won’t always see eye to eye with her co-stars, Dodd admitted that she had to apologize more than once this season.
“I’ve learned that sometimes you need to apologize whether you want to or not,” she said. “Sometimes, to build cohesive relationships with people, you have to shut your mouth before you say things.”
Speaking of relationships, which cast members will Dodd warm up to this season?
“I clicked with Vicki [Gunvalson] and Tamra [Judge] the most. Tamra is hilarious, she has a personality just like me. And Vicki, her taste is a lot like mine… Vicki and I naturally had chemistry. It was just a natural friendship. We have a lot in common.”
Dodd’s friendship with Gunvalson is surprising, especially considering how close she is with Meghan King Edmonds.
Friendships aside, Dodd added that she and Shannon Beador got into the most drama.
Unfortunately, Dodd did not reveal why she didn’t get along with Beador.
Meanwhile, Romper reports that Dodd will also introduce her family at some point this season. Dodd currently lives with no fewer than four family members, including her daughter, mother, brother, and husband.
Dodd’s husband, Michael, formerly headed up LeapFrog, but now spends the majority of his time with the family. That means fans can expect to see plenty of Michael and the rest of Dodd’s family throughout this season.
Given Michael’s former employer, and Kelly Meza-Dodd’s work as the COO of Kiss Me Mirrors, their net worth is estimated at $9 million.
According to Romper, Michael gained most of his wealth after he cashed out of LeapFrog and retired. Not only do the Dodd’s live in a comfortable estate in Orange County, but they also have enough money for European vacations.
Clearly, Dodd will have no problem keeping up with her co-stars.
That being said, Romper is reporting that Dodd’s relationship with Michael is not the healthiest it could be.
As fans may recall, Dodd made headlines a few months back after she bashed her husband during a drunken tirade outside of a club. Dodd told cameras that she was “married but available.”
Dodd later apologized for her actions and comments that night and stated that she was only joking about her marriage.
Of course, there is a good chance that Dodd’s marital problems will resurface at some point this season of RHOC. This is especially true, considering Dodd’s personality and the spotlight that will be on her family relations.
Whether or not Dodd and Michael can withstand all the attention that comes with being on a reality show is yet to be seen. Given how she has acted so far, there is definitely going to be some road bumps along the way.
Whatever ends up happening, Dodd’s addition to the show is certainly going to ruffle some feathers, though her friendships with Gunvalson and Judge might help her get through some of the rough patches.
