Ariana Grande Celebrates 23rd Birthday With A Special Gift From Kylie Jenner

Ariana Grande is having a happy birthday. The Dangerous Woman singer turns 23 on June 26, but the party started a few days earlier when she got a special gift in the mail from Kylie Jenner. As a birthday surprise, Ariana Grande received a complete set of Kylie’s sold-out Lip Kits from the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star herself, according to E! News.

Ariana Grande shared a Snapchat which showed her and her mom having fun with the surprise kit from the teen makeup entrepreneur.

“Happy early birthday to me,” Ariana wrote. “Thank you Kylie. My [lips] ’bout to be so happy. Love U.”

Ariana Grande revealed that the shades Mary Jo K and Candy K are her two favorites, and she also joked that the metallic black lipstick shade KyMajetsy was “made” for her mom, Joan Grande.

Speaking of Joan, the proud mama had a special message from her daughter Ariana on her 23rd birthday. Joan posted a message to Ariana on Twitter, wishing her a happy birthday and touting the day as a very special one in her own life.

In addition, Arian’s brother, Frankie Grande, also posted birthday greetings– complete with 23 cake emojis!

While there’s no word yet on how Ariana Grande will be spending her 23rd birthday, the pop princess has had some interesting birthday parties in the past. Ariana previously dished to Billboard about the unusual theme she had for one of her childhood parties when she was growing up in Florida.

“For my fifth birthday party we had a Jaws theme and all my friends left crying,” Ariana revealed in 2014. “I mean, I still am that way. But when I was little it was more concerning. There was a stage, when I was 3 or 4, where my mom thought I might grow up to be a serial killer.”

Ariana Grande seems determined to put her child star past behind her, but it has been an uphill battle. Grande first shot to fame a teen on the Nickelodeon sitcoms Victorious and Sam & Cat. And several years later, her tiny, 5-foot stature still makes her seem much younger than she is. Still, when Billboard asked her to summarize her third album, Dangerous Woman, in one sentence Grande made it clear it’s about getting older.

“A 22-year-old girl comes into her own trying to balance growing up, love and a lot of other bullsh*t along the way,” Grande said.

While she’s been in the entertainment business for a long time, Ariana Grande points out she hasn’t even scratched the surface in her recording career.

“I feel like I’m still just getting started — a lot of people forget I’m only three years in,” Grande told Billboard last month.

But one thing Ariana has already seen enough of is the sexism in the industry, and she thinks it’s unfair for people to ogle a shirtless male star but then shame an unclad female one. Ariana Grande even joked about what she’ll be doing 72 birthdays from now.

“I will say it until I’m an old-a** lady with my t*ts out at Whole Foods,” Grande vowed. “I’ll be in the produce aisle, naked at 95, with a sensible ponytail, one strand of hair left on my head and a Chanel bow. Mark my words. See you there with my 95 dogs.”

For now, Ariana Grande greeted social media followers on her birthday with a single tweet referencing her big day.

Other fans and friends also showered Ariana Grande with messages, inlcuding PETA and iHeart Radio.
