Kanye West Premieres ‘Famous’ Video At The Forum In Los Angeles — Will Taylor Swift Sue?

Kanye West unveiled the video for his controversial track “Famous” at a live viewing at the Forum in Los Angeles, and it’s safe to say it wasn’t what anyone was expecting at all!

The video featured a lot of what looked like wax figures with faces that resembled celebrities that all either have a connection to Kanye West or are just controversial in their own right.

The list of these celebrity “cameos” include Bill Cosby, Donald Trump, George Bush, Anna Wintour, Ray J, Chris Brown, Rihanna, Amber Rose, Caitlyn Jenner Kanye West, Kim Kardashian West, and Taylor Swift. Each of these people were thanked “for being famous” in the credits. All of the celebrity doppelgangers are naked, in the same bed in what looks like the aftermath of a wild orgy.

The Kanye lookalike is in the center of the bed and is flanked by the figures that look like Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian West.

This is significant when you consider the controversy that has been around the song since Kanye released his new album, The Life Of Pablo earlier this year. “Famous” contains this line that enraged Taylor Swift fans when the song was released.

“I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/I made that b***h famous.”

Kanye claimed — and still claims — that Taylor Swift approved the lyric. But as The Guardian reported at the time, Taylor Swift’s camp quickly released a statement that denounced it. Swift’s spokesperson said that Kanye actually asked the “Blank Space” singer whether she would share a link to the song via her Twitter account.

“She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that b***h famous,'” the spokesperson said.

Taylor also dropped a veiled reference to the whole situation during a Grammy acceptance speech, as Rolling Stone reported.

“If you just focus on the work, and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you’re going, you’ll look around and you’ll know that it was you and the people who love you that put you there and that will be the greatest feeling in the world.”

Many thought that this brand new Kanye West-Taylor Swift controversy would just end there. But it didn’t.

Recently, Kanye’s wife, Kim Kardashian West, added her two cents to the conversation, giving it new life. In an interview for GQ Magazine, she said that Taylor is a liar and that Kanye actually called Taylor to get the approval.

“She totally approved that,” Kim said. “She totally knew that that was coming out. She wanted to all of a sudden act like she didn’t. I swear, my husband gets so much sh*t for things [when] he really was doing proper protocol and even called to get it approved. What rapper would call a girl that he was rapping a line about to get approval?”

Kim went on to say that Taylor is just looking for sympathy by making Kanye the villain again.

“It was funny because [on the call with Kanye, Taylor] said, ‘When I get on the Grammy red carpet, all the media is going to think that I’m so against this, and I’ll just laugh and say, ‘The joke’s on you, guys. I was in on it the whole time.’ And I’m like, wait, but [in] your Grammy speech, you completely dissed my husband just to play the victim again,” Kim said.

So far the reactions to the “Famous” video have been mixed. Some think it’s weird, while others think it’s a revolutionary art piece. Some think that there are going to be lawsuits. Most seem to agree that the “Famous” video is just Kanye being Kanye.
