Justin Bieber Destroyed By One Direction During MTV Video Music Awards, Loses By 1.5 Million Votes

Justin Bieber has a rabid pack of fans, but One Direction has at least one million more fans willing to vote for them. The boy band picked up three awards at the MTV VMAs including “Most Shareworthy Video” and “Best Pop Video.”

The “Most Shareworthy Video” category was a fan voted award, and, according to MTV officials, One Direction beat the junk out of Bieber with a gap of more than 1.5 million votes.

Bieber’s video for his new single “Boyfriend” simply couldn’t stand up to One Direction and their uber-hit “What Makes You Beautiful,” which racked up more than 28 MILLION votes.

Not surprising was the band’s win for “Best Pop Video” for the same song, an award presented to the boys of One Direction by none other than pop superstar Katy Perry. You might recall that it was Perry who voted ‘yes’ to One Direction singer Niall Horan when he appeared on the British version of X Factor.

Finishing off their phenomenal awards run, the boys of One Direction claimed their third moonman for “Best New Artist.”

There is no denying that Justin Bieber is still one of the most sought after stars in the world, but, honestly, how could he really compete against five guys that all the girls seem to want these days?

Are you more surprised by Justin Bieber’s loss to One Direction or the huge gap in votes that helped the boy band claim the prize from voters?

I sense death threats and verbal attacks in the future for One Direction.
