Killzone Trilogy Brings Killzone 1 To HD Along With Both Sequels

If you’ve been thinking about revisiting the Killzone trilogy or playing it for the first time, you may want to hold off for a bit.

Today, Sony announced the Killzone Trilogy package, which bundles in all three Killzone titles. If that’s not exciting enough for you, Sony confirmed that the original Killzone has been remastered in HD, so you can expect the original to be prettier than ever.

If you never picked up the map packs for Killzone 2 and Killzone 3, Killzone Trilogy bundles all of them in with the package at no extra charge.

As someone who missed out on the Killzone despite owning a PlayStation 3 (yeah, I know, no excuse), I have to say that Killzone Trilogy is a pretty tempting offer if nothing else for the HD remastering of the original Killzone, which completely flew under my radar at the time.

Killzone Trilogy is set to release on October 23 in North America, with a European release following just one day later. The bundle is said to cost you $39.99/€49.99/£40.84.

Here’s the lowdown on the free map packs for the second and third games that you’ll be getting in Killzone Trilogy:

Killzone 2 Map Pack Bundle

Killzone 2 Steel Titanium Map Pack
Killzone 2 Flash Thunder Map Pack
Killzone 2 Napalm Cordite Map Pack

Killzone 3 Map Pack Bundle

Killzone 3 Steel Rain Map Pack
Killzone 3 Retro Map Pack
Killzone 3 From The Ashes Map Pack

Is Killzone Trilogy enough to get you to revisit the Killzone franchise (or visit for the first time)?
