T-Mobile Encourages Customers To Try Unlocked iPhones, Still Hasn’t Worked Out Apple Deal

T-Mobile has not been able to work out a direct partnership with Apple, Inc. ,and now the company is directly suggesting that customers try out an unlocked iPhone on the T-Mobile national wireless network.

Rumors have begun to circulate en masse that suggest the wireless carrier will soon start selling unlocked iPhone device in its stores, allowing customers to take full advantage on T-Mobile’s 3G network.

T-Mobile store managers were told to have microSIM cards activated for use by the end of August but were not told what device the cards would be used beside.

Rumors are pointing to a “bring your own iPhone” demonstration in stores that will allow customers to see how well their unlocked Apple device works on the T-Mobile network.

According to TMO News:

“We’re also told that these in store displays all align with T-Mobile’s “selling against the iPhone” strategy in the hopes that customers will be enticed by bringing their own device, and pairing it with T-Mobile’s newly launched unlimited data plan.”

With T-Mobile fed up over Apple’s requests regarding its network and the roll-out of its unlimited, 4G data plans (HSPA+), it now seems like the perfect time for the company to convince customers of the reasons they should jump over to T-Mobile.

If T-Mobile didn’t constantly drop calls in my area, I would jump on their unlimited plan and ditch my $25 (2GB) AT&T Wireless plan in a second.

Are you going to jump over to T-Mobile with your unlocked iPhone and unlimited mobile data?
