Jules Wainstein Of ‘RHONY’ Opens Up About Divorce From Michael

It was clear to see in the most recent episode of the Real Housewives of New York that Jules and her husband Michael were in a rocky place. The episode introduced the viewing audience to the stresses that Jules feels when her husband is not around or glued to his phone. There was also an uncomfortable moment during which Jules called Michael out on talking up the coat check girl at a restaurant about being their new “hot nanny.” As Wainstein has recently shared, this episode for her was like watching the beginning of the end.

The couple has now officially called it quits after eight years of marriage due to allegations of adultery on Michael’s part. However, Michael’s lawyers handling the divorce have denied the cheating claims. Entertainment Tonight shares the lawyers’ words on the allegations.

“This incorrect allegation that he was busted for committing adultery, if it’s true, she certainly would have answered his papers countersuing him for adultery. She has not done that. We prepared papers dated May 13. We sued her for divorce. She has not answered the papers. If she had any basis for counterclaim against him, she would have done so.”

Since the couple’s split, Jules states that she has come a long way and will be more than fine. The couple have two children together, Jagger, 5, and Rio, 2. Jules wrote about the most recent episode on her Bravo blog and stated the difficulty she had viewing it.

“It was so difficult to watch the beginning of the end. I’ve come a long way since my life began to unravel this past winter, and my kids and I will be just fine — better than fine. This isn’t the end of the world. It’s just a big bump in the road, but I’ll get over it and I’ll be stronger for it.”

Although the “beginning of the end” began back in the winter, the divorce filing did not occur until this past Wednesday. As E! states, the very next day Jules was spotted looking put together and stylish as usual in a coral dress while she headed to a charity event for A Caring Hand, with her friends.

Michael’s lawyer Mark Jay Heller shares details about the couple’s current living arrangements that are apparently not going so well.

“Heller says the former couple is still living together with their son, Jagger, and daughter, Rio, in the family’s home. However, after Jules called the police on her ex Thursday morning, claiming that he was ‘speaking to her in a threatening manner,’ it seems their home life is not so civil.”

Heller also indicates that there is not a court date set yet, but once there is, the judge may order one of them to move out.

“Obviously, it’s not going very well. When it gets to court, the judge may order someone to move out. They don’t have a court date yet.”

It seems that the split has taken an ugly turn and that it is a volatile living situation for the couple. As Inquisitr recently reported, Michael has even dragged an alleged incident from 2012 into the divorce case in which he claims that Jules assaulted him.

Heller relayed details of this allegation earlier this week, stating that “in the winter of 2012, Julianne brutally and viciously assaulted her diminutive but brave husband. But for the fact that he has two beautiful children, he would have left her a long time ago, but he has been trying to hold the family together.”
