Justin Bieber & Carly Rae Jepsen Tease ‘Beautiful’ Duet [Audio]

Carly Ray Jepsen’s new song, which features the vocals of her boss Justin Bieber, doesn’t drop until September 18, but a minute-and-a-half snipped of the duet “Beautiful” has been leaked on the internet.

The new song will be on Jepsen’s upcoming album Kiss, which will also feature her hit summer song “Call Me Maybe.”

The International Business Times reports that Jepsen quickly rose to fame after signing on to Justin Bieber’s Schoolboy Records. Her song “Call Me Maybe” is still in the top five of the Billboard Hot 100, and Bieber, of course, has had his fare share of success, too. His album Believe is still in the top 10 of the Billboard 200.

On their duet, Jepsen sings:

“I’m trying to be perfect but nobody’s perfect but you are… to me / Try to take my breath away with the words that I don’t say … I wish somehow, I could say them now.”

Bieber sings:

“Nothing in the world compares to the feelings that we share … It’s so not fair / What makes you so beautiful is that you don’t know how beautiful you are … to me”

Here’s a clip from the Justin Bieber & Carly Rae Jepsen duet “Beautiful.”

Do you think this song will hit the top of the charts?

Jepsen said that Justin Bieber was “pumped” about the new song.

Jepsen said:

“(Bieber) digs it. I was stoked, him and Scooter [Braun]. Scooter called me … and he’s like ‘It’s fantastic, you should be pumped,’ and it’s not often that I say that I am, but I am pumped. I mean I hope people like it, but it’s fun to know that my friends and family and people around me are digging it and hopefully everyone else likes it too. I’ve written on almost every song and these are lyric ideas that I’ve been collecting since I was like 17, so it’s really fun to get to see them put to life. It’s cool to be able to say with confidence that this is an album that I feel like I’ve been waiting to make and I’m ready to finally have out there.”
