Katy Perry Responds To Kim Kardashian’s Taylor Swift Slam

Katy Perry allegedly “loves” that Kim Kardashian called out Taylor Swift for claiming she had never heard the lyrics to Kanye West’s track “Famous.”

According to a new report by Hollywood Life, Perry supposedly praised Kardashian for slamming the popstar, who Katy has a well-documented feud with, and is allegedly excited to see that people may now be realizing that Taylor may not be as squeaky clean as she appears.

“Katy loves what Kim said about Taylor,” a source admitted to Hollywood Life this week, shortly after Kardashian hit the headlines for putting Swift on serious blast in a new interview with GQ magazine.

“She loves that one of the most popular people in the world is calling out Taylor for who she really is,” the site’s insider continued, admitting that Perry believes that now Kardashian has slammed Swift in such a public way that “people might actually start listening.”

The Kim and Taylor drama hit the headlines this week after Kim slammed the singer, claiming that despite Swift denying all knowledge of the lyrics included in her husband’s song “Famous,” Taylor was actually aware of the song’s content long before West released it.

Kim said in the interview that Swift supposedly “came up with” the concept for the song, in which Kanye raps “I still feel like me and Taylor may have sex. Why? Because I made that b**** famous,” and claimed that she even “gave her blessings” for the song to be released, something Swift has since denied.

But while Kim and Taylor continue to disagree, Hollywood Life‘s insider is claiming that Katy Perry “is happy that people are getting to know that Taylor isn’t as squeaky clean as she appears to be,” which appears to allude to the now infamous message Perry tweeted way back in September, 2014, in which Katy described Swift as being a “Regina George in sheep’s clothing…”

Katy Perry’s tweet didn’t explicitly mention Taylor, though Perry did confirm that her Mean Girls inspired tweet was in fact aimed at Swift in a past interview with Billboard.

Katy was quizzed about her and Swift’s alleged feud and her very telling tweet by the magazine, to which Perry responded, “If somebody is trying to defame my character, you’re going to hear about it.”

Katy is yet to officially speak out on her own terms about Kim and Taylor’s apparent new feud, though her support of Kardashian comes as somewhat of a surprise as she appeared to put Kim on blast in a 2014 interview with Rolling Stone, referring to her as “plastic.”

Speaking out about Kardashian in the magazine two years ago, Katy said, “Look at someone like Kim Kardashian or Ice-T’s wife, Coco [Austin]. Those girls aren’t African-American, but it’s actually a representation of our culture wanting to be plastic.”

Hollywood Life also claimed that Perry took aim at Kardashian after posing with the reality star at a fashion show last year.

Perry, who’s known for her plunging outfits, was allegedly “mortified” when she ran into Kardashian at a Givenchy fashion show and supposedly felt that she was dressed inappropriately for the fashion event, according to the site.

“Katy Perry looked mortified when she ran into Kim at Givenchy and people wanted to take pictures of them together,” a source told the site of Perry and Kardashian’s run in last year.

“Kim was in one of her boob exposing outfits and you could tell Katy wanted to get away. Katy has worn revealing outfits in the past but even she thinks that Kardashian is not dressing appropriately for Paris Fashion Week,” the source said.
