Fans of Fuller House know that Candace Cameron Bure looks great. She did do some time on Dancing with the Stars, but that isn’t the reason for her great body. Cosmopolitan got the chance to talk to Candace and get all of the details on her daily diet and how she stays looking so great. If you are looking to get in shape, you can pay close attention and learn what Candace eats every day to stay so thin.
Candace Cameron Bure takes really great care of herself. Now at the age of 40, Candace doesn’t look it at all. She has always been very open about the fact that back in her 20s she battled with bulimia, but since then, Candace has been safe and taking care of herself. Candace admits that she is on a pretty strict diet, but it is obvious that it is paying off.
She does feel pretty great about herself right now, saying, “Like most women, I fuss about a few things I wish I could change. [But] I am at my best weight and fitness level considering my lifestyle.”
One thing that Candace Cameron Bure does is follow a vegan diet. She has fish sometimes and also egg whites. Sometimes if she can’t get vegan food, then she will eat something else. Candace also doesn’t eat or drink dairy and eats nuts, seeds, beans, and whole grains like quinoa for protein.
When Candace Cameron Bure drinks coffee, she puts a bit of almond milk in it. For breakfast, she makes a Shakeology protein shake with half a banana and almond milk most of the time. Candace also mentions having raw oatmeal with coconut milk. She has a ton of water to drink and sometimes snacks on a banana or an apple. When flying, it can be hard to eat healthy, but Candace shared that she was able to get a kale salad with tomato, avocado, and quinoa at an airport.
Everyone loves watching Candace Cameron Bure on The View, and when she is there, she can order food from anywhere she wants. She shared that lunch is normally a salad for her from various places. For dinner, she is very lucky because her husband cooks most of the time. If she wants something sweet for dessert, she will have an orange or a couple of pieces of dark chocolate. She shared that sometimes she has soup for dinner. A combo of hummus and veggies is another go-to snack for Candace.
Candace explained one of her meals on a flight, saying, “On the flight, I had a snack: a green salad with nuts, grilled veggies, and pesto spread with three small toasts — the appetizers served on my flight. I skipped the main meal, but drank a glass of wine because I’m not walking off the flight and into work. I ate an apple for dessert.”
When it comes to working out, Candace Cameron Bure uses a trainer. She doesn’t work out every single day, but she does try hard to stay in shape and take care of herself. Christian Today shared that Candace actually spoke about what her favorite hobby is when she isn’t working, which, of course, she loves.
Candace really enjoys taking pictures, sharing, “When you have kids, it’s about capturing all the memories in life. I’m a sports mom… My boys play hockey, and my daughter plays tennis, so taking pictures is a big part of my life.”
