Johnny Depp Turned Amber Heard Into ‘Victim Of Abuse’? Restraining Order Shocker

Amber Heard and Johnny Depp are going through a highly publicized split. Now, in an update on the restraining order, E! News reports that when the time comes for her court date, Heard will testify.

Set for Friday morning, the restraining order hearing against Depp will give Amber the opportunity to reveal her accusations against her ex. As part of her plan to testify, Heard already is getting guidance from her lawyer. That preparation includes both instructions on how to respond to direct examination questioning as well as how to cope with the anticipated cross-examination questions from Johnny’s attorney.

Not associated with the case, attorney Troy Slaten clarified the basis for this preparation.

“The last thing you want is for your client to be surprised at a question, to get flustered,” pointed out Slaten. “You want to ask every possible question that could possibly be asked that way your client is not thrown off-guard.”

As for the odds that Depp also will appear in court to offer his side of the situation, his ex’s team sent Johnny’s lawyer a “notice in lieu of subpoena.” That document sought his appearance at the court hearing.

“You issue a notice in lieu of a subpoena to a party, from one party to another party. If you want to make sure the other party is there, you issue the notice in lieu of subpoena,” clarified Slaten.

But Depp still could avoid being present at the hearing.

“Although she is requesting it, and demanding his presence, it doesn’t really mean he has to appear,” added the legal expert. “He can still choose not to appear.”

Heard’s attorney previously filed to withdraw her temporary spousal support request of $50,000 monthly. The restraining order hearing agenda would have included that issue, but now that it has been withdrawn, the request for spousal support will not be featured.

An insider revealed to E! News that Amber is not seeking money from Johnny. Instead, she is focused on speaking her truth. And the source also described Heard as the victim of Depp’s abuse.

“While she is deeply hurt, she is also upset and angry. She is the victim of his abuse and the media has made her into the villain.”

When the court hearing takes place, Amber will not be alone. In addition to Heard, two of her friends are prepared to testify about the allegations of abuse, according to Page Six.

Heard’s friend iO Tillett Wright and her neighbor Raquel Rose Pennington both are available to provide evidence. The hearing will focus on whether to provide a full domestic-violence restraining order against Depp.

“Amber and two of her friends are willing to testify under oath about exactly what happened with Depp. This will put an end to anyone who has doubted her story and his lawyers’ claims that this is about money,” a source told Page Six.

The divorce lawyer for Johnny, Laura Wasser, responded to the request from his ex.

“Amber is attempting to secure a premature financial resolution by alleging abuse,” alleged Wasser.

However, Tillett Wright provided her own description of the violence, revealing her allegations about what happened on May 21 in a battle between Heard and Depp.

“I heard Johnny launch into a cruel and vicious rage,” recalled Wright. “I then heard Amber crying in fear and begging Johnny to stop his attack… I called 911 to save Amber’s life.”

However, Depp says that he has not abused his ex, while his attorney alleged in court papers that the case has been on trial in the media.

“Amber has tried her claims in the media. It is now time for her to do so in a court of law,” asserted Wasser in the court paperwork.
