‘Dead Rising 4’ Leaked Ahead Of E3 — Screens Of Upcoming Title In Popular Video Game Franchise By Capcom Uploaded On NeoGAF

Thanks to an upload on NeoGAF, Dead Rising 4, the latest installment in the popular video game franchise by Capcom, was leaked. Several screenshots and animated gifs were uploaded on the nexus of hardcore gamers, enthusiast press, and video game industry developers and publishers.

According to Game Rant, the screenshots and animated gifs look like they are from Dead Rising 4, a game that has yet to be announced by Capcom ahead of E3 2016. In them, the protagonist is going head-to-head, toe-to-toe with massive zombie hordes. As shown in the numerous screens uploaded in the gallery below, the new protagonist (which looks an awful lot like a younger and healthier Frank West) is utilizing numerous weapons to take on the zombies. In some of the screens, said protagonist is wearing some sort of futuristic combat gear or suit which seems to grant him certain powers and abilities. Strength is obviously one such power as he is able to lift a piece of concrete connected to a pole.

As mentioned earlier, the protagonist seems to be able to obtain and wear some sort of futuristic battle armor or suit. As an added treat to fans, one animated gif actually shows the protagonist using it in action, able to tear a zombie in half over his head with ease and throw another zombie via giant swing.

Another animated gif was also included in which the protagonist wields a lightning axe (probably made in a way not to be confused with Thor’s Hammer). In it, he lifts the axe above his head and electrocutes all the zombies within about a 10 to 15 foot radius, than slams the axe into the ground which causes all the electrocuted zombies to explode.

Other information gamers were hoping to find out, such as release date, were not included in the NeoGAF leak, as reported by PC Gamer. It is possible that an estimated release window, along with other details about the game (in which many believe will be an Xbox One exclusive just like Dead Rising 3) will be revealed during Microsoft’s press conference on Monday, June 15, at 9:30 a.m. PDT.

Nevertheless, Dead Rising 4 will have a lot to live up after the performance Dead Rising 3 delivered. A lot of video game critics who reviewed the game said the third installment was far more welcoming than its predecessors. It did this by making the timing of missions more friendly along with added replay value. What we can assume from the screenshots and animated gifs is that the game looks far more beautiful with more detail. Ultimately, we will have to wait until more information is revealed at E3 2016, but from what we have seen from the leaks, Dead Rising 4 is at least going to be a visually stunning game with some very interesting weapons players can use.
