Dakota Johnson Leaves Matthew Hitt For Rita Ora During ‘Fifty Shades Darker’?

Her fans can’t even count the number of times Dakota Johnson and Matthew Hitt have broke things off, only to get back together again. But they might have to get used to the idea of their unsteady relationship as they have parted ways again. This time though, Dakota may have someone else to turn to.

“The 26-year-old actress split with her on-again, off-again boyfriend of two years, 29-year-old British musician Matthew Hitt,” reports Entertainment Tonight. “The two first stepped out as a couple in July 2014, but broke up in February 2015. A few months later, they had rekindled the relationship, showing PDA in New York City.”

But the real rumor lies in the fact that Dakota Johnson is now leaving him for another — this time a woman! Ever since Rita Ora was introduced on the set of Fifty Shades Darker, Dakota Johnson has been keeping busy with her presence, even when she took the first part of May this year to meet up with Matthew Hitt in New York.

“She’s reprising her role as Mia Grey, the sister of the devilishly handsome Christian Grey, in 50 Shades Darker,” reports Daily Mail. “And Rita Ora, 25, was spotted in costume on the set of the sequel for the first time on Monday, as she joined Dakota Johnson, 26, to shoot scenes for the erotic drama.”

While fans that have yet to read Fifty Shades trilogy don’t know what role Mia Grey plays in the erotic romance between Christian and Anastasia, there is no doubt that something sexy is brewing between all three of them.

Ever since Rita Ora appeared on set, media has been abuzz with speculations of Rita starting something with Dakota. The Blemish published an article that read, “Rita Ora and Dakota Johnson Are Dating?” and many publications followed suit.

So when Dakota met up with her boyfriend in New York, it might have been her attempt to make it a clean break before going onto Rita Ora.

“Dakota Johnson and rocker Matthew Hitt were spotted holding hands as they strolled in New York City,” reported Daily Mail earlier in May. “Their meeting comes just hours after she jetted in from Vancouver, B.C. where she’s filming the 50 Shades Of Grey sequels. The two were broken up for several months earlier this year.”

Matthew Hitt celebrated his 29th birthday very recently so this breakup might have jolted him a bit. So it’s no surprise that he is choosing to focus on his music career with his band, Drowners.

Maybe Dakota Johnson also got sick of the instability of their relationship, choosing to end it before they became a bad habit for each other.

The last time that she broke things off with Matthew Hitt, she gave a very clear answer to what it feels like to be single in Hollywood.

“I cherish my solitude and I think it’s important for young women, especially now, to know that it’s OK to explore the world and yourself without the pressures of other people’s opinions of you,” Dakota said according to Fox News. “I don’t need a partner to feel complete. In today’s society there’s less of a stigma on being single. I think society is relinquishing some of the pressures of needing to find a spouse.”

But finding a friend and possibly a romantic partner in Rita Ora might be something that Dakota needs right now.
