Gigi Hadid And Zayn Malik Relationship Drama: Perrie Edwards Reacts To Possible Split?
Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik reportedly broke up at the end of last month, but they may still be together.
Last week, rumors of a split claimed Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik had been on and off for weeks, but when her dad was caught out in Los Angeles days ago, he seemed to know nothing about a breakup. So, what’s really going on?
When it comes to Gigi Hadid, she’s appeared to make it clear that she loves and misses her singer boyfriend. In addition to sharing a post on Snapchat, which featured her singing “Pillowtalk,” Gigi Hadid posted a photo that read, “I know it’s obvious but I love you.”
Meanwhile, Zayn Malik has stayed silent — and left the country.
“Days after his break up with [Gigi Hadid] was reported, Zayn took off to Jamaica for four days with seven friends, including two mystery blonde females,” a source revealed to Hollywood Life. “The trip was a chance for Zayn to recharge and get away from the stress of work and relationships. He needed space to clear his head from all the relationship drama surrounding him and Gigi. He is staying busy and keeping his mind off Gigi and trying to decide whether or not he wants to be in a committed relationship.”

Before his relationship with Gigi Hadid began, Malik was in a very committed relationship with Perrie Edwards of Little Mix, and the former pair were planning to wed. However, after spending years together, Malik and Edwards called off their engagement.
As for what Edwards thinks of the back and forth between Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik, she is reportedly thankful it is not her who is going through the ups and downs with Malik.
“Perrie isn’t surprised that there is already drama circling over Zayn and [Gigi Hadid]. Are they together? Did they split? She’s just relieved that she’s not part of it,” an insider explained to Hollywood Life on June 6. “She knows the chaos all too well. The ups and the downs with Zayn were exhausting and she’s just happy that she’s in a different place in her life now.”

Edwards was also unfazed by Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik’s relationship when it first began at the end of last year.
“Perrie isn’t really that bothered [by their relationship] because she knows it’s a rebound relationship for Zayn,” a source told Hollywood Life in November of last year. “She’s having the time of her life right now in Japan and isn’t preoccupied with anything Zayn related. She’s not one to obsess on social media about Zayn and Gigi and she’s not one to compare herself to other girls. She’s done a lot of soul searching and healing from the whole heartbreak and feels like her breakup with Zayn was actually a blessing in disguise. As far as Perrie is concerned, Gigi can have him.”
When E! News reported on Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik’s breakup last week, a source noted that the on-and-off couple could get back together at any time and said Gigi Hadid was upset about the split.
The source also noted that Gigi Hadid wanted to rekindle her romance with Malik, but at this point, aside from her father’s comments, there has been no solid evidence that they are back on. Judging by Malik’s trip, he may not be on board with the idea.
