‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7 News: Norman Reedus Gives Details

Walking Dead fans have been up in arms over the way Season 6 ended, but the Season 7 premiere is poised to come back with some of the most explosive storylines to date. There has been new news coming down the pipe that has even the likes of Daryl Dixon’s avatar, Norman Reedus, excited.

It was apparent right from the onset when Norman Reedus was discussing Season 7 of The Walking Dead with TV Line that the actor is really emotional about how the season is going to play out. The fact is, even though they all play specific characters on the show, they are also a tight family of actors who really care about each other. So what happens to their characters on the show is something that affects them personally in real life.

“We’re a very tight-knit group down there [on location in Georgia], and we take it very personally, because we’re in it and living it,” Norma Reedus told TV Line about The Walking Dead. “Every time you see us crying on camera, those are real tears. It’s a whole day of living that sh**.”

So that is an added reason why Reedus will not talk about who Negan killed at the end of Season 6 on The Walking Dead. It was not just a death of a character, but rather the death of a family member, a person who is near and dear to Norman Reedus and the rest of the cast of The Walking Dead. For them to be killed off on the show also means they are killed off from the production of the series.

“When personal things happen to you, you don’t wander around telling everybody your personal stuff,” Norman Reedus said. “So for us, it doesn’t feel like just a spoiler, it feels like a moment that really happened. And if there’s a death involved, it’s kinda weird to talk about it. It’s like going to our friend’s funeral or going possibly to our own funeral!”

The same can be said for the fans of The Walking Dead. Those who watch the series every week with anxiety form a familiar bond with the characters, and when one of them dies, it is something the fans also take personally. It keeps them watching from week to week as well as season to season.

There is no way that a true fan of The Walking Dead will not tune into the premiere episode of Season 7. With so much on the line, the true identity of Negan’s victim is a must-know for someone who is about to spend the summer wondering if one of their favorite characters is alive or dead.

But Season 7 of The Walking Dead has much more in store for fans than just the big reveal of a victim. Other major arcs are going to surprise viewers and maybe even shock them to their core.

“I will definitely 100-percent say that it’s well worth the wait,” Norman Reedus told TV Line. “It’s large. It’s mind-blowing.”

With that being said, there is good reason to believe that Norman’s Daryl Dixon will survive the Season 6 finale of The Walking Dead, given that he has so much knowledge of what is to come. The producers of the show would not likely give actors so much detail for it if they did not have to. That suggests Norman Reedus will be sticking around for a good portion of the season and put him safely out of Negan’s target zone.

The Walking Dead will return this October on AMC for Season 7 of the series.
