Gigi Hadid And Zayn Malik Back On? Her Father Mohamed Claims They Are ‘Probably’ Together

Did Gigi Hadid’s father, Mohamed Hadid, just confirm she and Zayn Malik were still together?

Last week, an E! News report claimed the 21-year-old model and her singer boyfriend had parted ways after about seven months of dating, but on Monday, Gigi Hadid’s father said he knew nothing at all about a breakup.

“What…I didn’t even know there was a break up,” Mohamed explained to TMZ on June 6.

“I’ve not met Zayn but I’ve heard he’s a very, very nice guy,” Mohamed continued while out in Los Angeles. “I wasn’t even aware there was a break up. I had breakfast with [Gigi Hadid] this morning. I don’t think there’s anything going on.”

When Mohamed was asked directly if he thought Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik were still together, he confirmed, “I think probably they are.”

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik began dating last year around the time they were spotted together after the American Music Awards in November. Then, in January, Gigi Hadid starred alongside Zayn Malik in his “Pillowtalk” music video, which featured the pair getting touchy feely as they kissed for the cameras.

Around the time the video was shot, a source spoke of Gigi Hadid’s excitement.

“[Gigi Hadid] was so excited when Zayn asked her to be in his music video,” the source explained to E! News. “They both acted very professional on set but it was very obvious that they were in love. They couldn’t stop flirting with each other.”

Prior to Mohamed Hadid seemingly denying his daughter split with Malik, a source spoke of their relationship.

“[Gigi Hadid] and Zayn are still together,” a source close to the couple confirmed to Just Jared on June 4. “The break-up reports are completely false. And they have met each other’s families despite the false rumors circulating.”

While Just Jared’s source contradicted Mohamed’s statement, which claimed he had not yet met Malik, Gigi Hadid’s mother, Yolanda Foster, has met her boyfriend and has even spoken highly of him on social media.

Last week, E! News told a much different story in regard to Gigi Hadid’s relationship with Zayn Malik, claiming the pair had split and adding that it wasn’t the first time.

“During her birthday they were fighting,” an insider told E! News.

According to the insider, Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have “broken up and got back together a few times” since the start of their relationship last year. And another source claimed that due to the up-and-down nature of their romance, it wouldn’t be a shock to see them get back together.

“Zayn and [Gigi Hadid] did break up, but they can likely get back together tomorrow,” the second source added. “It’s all very unclear what’s going on between them now. [They’ve] been having some issues lately that involved communication and getting along.”

“[Gigi Hadid] is really sad about this, though, and in a way would like to work it out,” the source explained. “It’s more about that constant contact with Zayn that she misses and they did get very close.”

Following the report of her split, Gigi Hadid shared a couple of telling messages that seemingly suggested she wanted to get back with her alleged ex-boyfriend. In addition to a post on Snapchat which included the message, “I know it’s obvious but I love you,” she posted a video of her singing along to “Pillowtalk.”
