Social Media Queen Kim Kardashian Visits Snapchat’s Headquarters

Kim Kardashian may be the queen of Instagram, but she has since warmed up to Snapchat. Since joining the popular social media app earlier this year, the 35-year-old was seen heading to the Snapchat headquarters on Tuesday, May 31.

Check out some of her adventures, all documented on Snapchat, of course.

Kim Kardashian was leaving the building located in Santa Monica, California. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star wore a black Enfants Riche Déprimés motorcycle jacket that featured studs and patches. Kardashian paired it with a white T-shirt and black biker shorts, but not everyone liked her new punk rock look.

While at the Snapchat headquarters, Kim also did a face swap video with the very man who invented the face swap feature, and she got a Marilyn Monroe filter made especially for her.

“This guy invented Face Swap, you guys!” she’s excitedly heard saying in her Snapchat video below.

The mom-of-two also shared a video with the Marilyn Monroe filter that gave her red lips and blonde hair.

“I have an official Marilyn filter — only for me,” she said.

This isn’t the first time that the Snapchat programmers have catered to Kim. Last week, she exclaimed in a Snapchat video that she was tired of the adorable puppy filter and wanted a Dalmatian one instead. Well, guess what? Kim shared a video of North West on Sunday, May 29 with the new filter.

“Why are there two dogs?” the child is heard asking.

“Because your mama asked for them to make a Dalmatian,” she simply responded.

Kardashian has been taking over both the social media and tech world with her popular Kimojis, which have already launched. She’s been taking to Twitter all week to tease the new update.

On that same day, Kardashian also shared collages of the new Kimojis featuring her daughter, North, and her husband, Kanye West.

The update also includes some family-friendly and some NSFW emojis. In addition to her daughter and husband, the latest update to Kim’s long list of emojis includes her famous derriere, a twerking Kim, and her nude selfie. There are also some hilarious emojis that show several of Kim’s wacky expressions.

When Kim Kardashian launched her Kimoji app back in December, it nearly broke the internet when it hit No. 1 on the Apple AppStore and made $1 million per second. Not only has she been taking over the internet with her Kimojis, but she also has plans to release more mobile games like Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, which made over $74 million in 2014.

In her March 2015 cover story with AdWeek, Kardashian explains how she plans to fit in with the tech world.

“I hope to have a bigger presence in the tech world. I love coming up with different app ideas, and I have a few more that are coming out. Once you get started and you have this creative bug of ideas that you want to get out, I feel like I’ve partnered with the right team, and now I have the creative outlet to make that happen. I’m happy that people are into it and perceiving it well. I just want to create more apps.”

She also explained how she has let her social media reign play a role in how she works with major tech brands. Kim says that you need to have a sense of humor when it comes to working in both the social media and tech world.

“For me, what’s so funny is I love taking pictures and posting them on social media for memories. I genuinely love the glam of life and hair and makeup and all of that, so I love just sharing my life with people—that’s who I’ve been. I live my life on a reality show. But sometimes people take it very seriously, or they think it’s ridiculous. I’m kind of letting them know, yes, it is ridiculous, but it’s all fun.”
