Stéphanie Beaudoin, ‘World’s Sexiest Crook,’ Now A Model After Extremely Light Jail Sentence [Video]

Stéphanie Beaudoin, the 21-year-old Canadian nursing student who became a viral sensation as the “World’s Sexiest Crook” when she was nabbed in 2014 for a series of thrill-seeking burglaries, was finally sentenced to jail earlier this year — but has now landed a modeling career even as she serves her time, according to a report by the online news site Vice, complete with magazine glamour spreads.

In a spree reminiscent of the 2008 “Bling Ring” case in Los Angeles, in which a gang of teenagers broke into a series of celebrity homes making off with millions in jewels and other valuables, Beaudoin led a crew of minors — one reportedly only 11 years old — on a break-in spree throughout the summer of 2014.

With her three underage accomplices, the “Sexiest Crook” broke into 39 upscale homes in Quebec, Canada, making off with about $80,000 worth of loot — worth roughly $58,000 in United States currency.

But the money was never the motivation for Beaudoin, now 23 years old, who seemed to enjoy the adrenaline rush of the nocturnal break-ins, telling Vice that she continued to burglarize homes even when she knew that the police were following her.

“I knew I was going to be arrested because I had been followed for a week. But I wasn’t able to stop — it was just so intense,” Beaudoin told the publication.

Her then-boyfriend — who was unaware of her crime spree — first learned that the police were following her, and gave Beaudoin a warning that she simply ignored.

“He told me, ‘I don’t know what it is that you’re doing, but stop it right now because you’re being followed,'” she said.

After her arrest in August of 2014 on 114 counts related to the burglary spree, a Montreal tabloid found a Facebook photo of Beaudoin posing in a skimpy black bikini that revealed her shapely figure.

The photo immediately went viral on Twitter and Facebook, turning Stéphanie Beaudoin — who had already dabbled in modeling — into an international celebrity as the “World’s Sexiest Crook.”

When news of her sentencing broke in February, dozens more photos turned up and went viral around the world, as the following video from the OneIndia TV channel in India demonstrates.

But despite the extensive nature of her crimes, Beaudoin received a light sentence. A judge gave her a mere 90 days behind bars starting on February 20 — but she would be required to serve her time only on weekends. In other words, the “Sexiest Crook” received 45 weekends in jail, while remaining free to pursue modeling and anything else during the week.

But the judge imposed one catch on her five-day-per-week freedom. Beaudoin is prohibited from using her newfound fame to promote criminal activity.

“I can have modeling contracts as Stéphanie Beaudoin. I could have my face on a skin care product,” she said in her interview with Vice. “I just can’t do it if the brand says something like ‘Stephanie the criminal’ or whatever. It’s a pretty OK condition.”

But Beaudoin’s fame almost didn’t happen. When she was arrested, she asked police for permission to go on to her Facebook page and delete her account — specifically to prevent her sexy online photos from going viral.

“I told him I had some pretty compromising pictures and asked him to lend me his phone so that I could log on Facebook. He said, ‘No, no, it can’t be that bad.’ And that was it,” she said.

Within hours, reporters had found her page and started posting her racy pictures.

Stéphanie Beaudoin, the “World’s Sexiest Crook” even if she can’t call herself by that nickname anymore, was signed up by the B Models Management modeling agency in September of last year.
