Kathryn Dennis Responds To JD Madison’s Paternity Speculation To Thomas Ravenel

Kathryn Dennis doesn’t appreciate the fact that some of her Southern Charm cast members, including Thomas Ravenel himself, have questioned on-air whether he is really the father of her second child. On Monday, as the latest episode aired, Kathryn pretty much accused her co-stars of purposefully creating unnecessary drama for her by questioning the child’s paternity.

That’s because, according to Kathryn, Thomas was already proven to be the father of the baby. Kathryn tweeted that paternity had already been established. Presumably, Kathryn means that paternity was already established by the time the paternity discussion scene between JD Madison and Thomas was filmed. Kathryn added that watching them pretend that paternity was still in question was “not cool.”

On the latest episode, JD had a chat with Thomas after playing some polo. Over drinks, Thomas revealed to JD that his second child with Kathryn, a boy, was due to arrive in just a few days. JD was shocked upon hearing the news. Thomas explained that Kathryn is going to be induced early. JD asked about the health of Kathryn and the baby. Thomas replied that both are doing fine. JD then admitted to Thomas that he had some reservations and questions about the unborn child. JD reminded Thomas that Kathryn was dating other people around the time that she conceived. He straight out told Thomas that he should get a paternity test.

“I don’t know whether to be excited about this or whether to, uh, say ‘Oh s**t.’ I’m not trying to allude to anything. I just know that you and I have talked about it and she was dating other people at the time. Which is suspect. I think women don’t like being asked for paternity tests. It doesn’t really speak well to their character you know? But, I mean, I just know you well and I know you want a son. And I know how important this child is to you. If it were me I would probably want to go ahead and do the test just to be 100% sure.”

In his confessional interview, JD implied that Kathryn had a say and some ulterior motive behind her inducement date.

“With her moving up the due date, it seems awfully peculiar…There’s a part of me, naturally, that’s conflicted.”

In response to JD’s recommendation to get a paternity test, Thomas said that he would get one to be completely sure. Yet, in his confessional interview, Thomas said that the baby’s his regardless.

“I feel as if I’ve fulfilled the family obligation to carry on the Ravenel name. So, regardless, the baby’s mine.”

Kathryn Dennis may have felt particularly hurt over the paternity speculation since it came from JD Madison. JD and his wife, Elizabeth, have four children themselves and are actually godparents to Kathryn and Thomas Ravenel’s first child, daughter Kensington.

In a previous episode, Liz finally met up with Kathryn after getting the silent treatment from her for months. Liz asked if she did something wrong. In a moment of rare vulnerability, Kathryn apologized and said that she wrongfully pushed people away. Kathryn explained that she felt it was easier to push people away rather than trust them.

“No you weren’t the cause of the anxiety. If anything, it was me. I just feel like I went through a few months there where I just wanted to be, like, away from everyone. It was just easier that way.”

Liz promised Kathryn that she would never turn her back on her or Kensie.

“I just need you to know something. I made a promise to you and to Kensie at the christening. As her godmother I will never ever turn my back on you or Kensie. I keep my word. Nothing will ever change. I promise.”

Kathryn thanked Liz and gave her hug. Liz began crying and confessed that she lost sleep over thinking that she did something wrong. Kathryn started crying herself and told Liz how much she means to her.

“I’m so sorry…It really was just me…And I’m sorry cause I feel like I misled so many people into thinking that they did something wrong and that’s not the case at all. Just want you to know, you are a special person to me and I don’t ever want to lose that and I don’t want to ever make you feel this way again.”

Liz reiterated to Kathryn that she’s there to help support her and the babies. Then, they laughed about their children growing up playing together.

In her confessional interview, Kathryn said that she cut Liz out for no good reason.

“I was going through a phase where I cut people out. Everyone. Didn’t matter. No discrimination period. But I did it to be safe cause I had no clue who I could be safe around.”

Kathryn added that her friendship with Liz was real.

“For her to cry in front of me. You know, it makes me realize my relationship with her wasn’t false. It wasn’t phony. It was real.”

In an interview with the NY Post in April 2016, Kathryn named Liz as a good friend who helps her deal with her drama with Thomas and being a young, single mother to two small children.

“Elizabeth and I have gotten much closer because I don’t have many friends that also have children, so the fact that she [lives] close to me, we get to hang out all the time. We get what it’s like and she also knows Thomas, so she gets it.”

Will Elizabeth and JD Madison attend the Southern Charm Season 3 reunion show filming? If so, perhaps Kathryn Dennis will confront JD about questioning the paternity of her son. Will Thomas Ravenel and Liz Madison defend JD from Kathryn’s wrath? As previously reported by the Inquisitr, co-star Shep Rose recently tweeted that the upcoming reunion show will be filmed in New York City. This time around, it seems that some of the recurring cast members will also be a part of the reunion show, as Kathryn’s friend Jennifer Snowden tweeted that she’s shopping for something to wear to the filming.
