All-NBA Second Team Announced, Led By Kevin Durant And Draymond Green


The National Basketball Association has just released the All-NBA Second Team. This is the second best players at their respected positions. Some of the players on the second team could arguably be on the first team. That’s how much talent is on the All-NBA Second Team. According to ESPN, the second team is led by Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant. The former Texas Longhorns star is joined by Los Angeles Clippers star point guard Chris Paul, Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors, Sacramento Kings star center DeMarcus Cousins, and Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers.

Kevin Durant is one of the best small forwards in the National Basketball Association. He just returned from an injury-riddled season the year before. Since being drafted in 2007, Durant has proven to be one of the best offensive players in the league. The former Texas Longhorns star has built an amazing resume since being drafted. Durant won the NBA Most Valuable Player of the Year award in 2014. He has been selected to the All-Star games seven times in his career. Durant was selected to the All-NBA First Team five times and was the scoring leader in league four times. This season, he’s averaging 28.2 points, five assists, 8.2 rebounds, one steal, and 1.2 blocks.

Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors is one of the best big men in the National Basketball Association. He has been a big factor for the team. The former Michigan State Spartans star helped the Warriors make history by surpassing the 1996 Chicago Bulls win total of 72. Green is a triple-double machine. He is second in the NBA in triple doubles, behind Russell Westbrook. This is Green’s first All-NBA Second Team selection.

DeMarcus Cousins has all the talent to be one of the best centers in the National Basketball Association. Since joining the league in 2010, he has developed into a superstar. Cousins is a two time All-Star. He has been selected to the All-NBA Second Team twice. The former Kentucky Wildcats star put up a career high in points this season. Cousins averaged 26.9 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.4 blocks, and 1.6 steals per game. He has been in the league for six years. Cousins has the potential to be the best center in the NBA for the next several years.

Los Angeles Clippers star point guard Chris Paul is one of the best playmakers in the entire National Basketball Association. He has played a big part of the Clippers’ success since joining the team. Paul has built up an amazing resume since coming into the league in 2005. The former Wake Forest Demon Deacons star has been selected to the All-Star game nine times in his 11 year career. He has been voted into the All-NBA First Team four times. Paul has been selected to the All-NBA Second Team three times and once to the All-NBA Third Team. CP3 is an excellent defender as well. He has been on the NBA All-Defensive First Team six times and twice to the All-Defensive Second Team.

Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers is one of the most dynamic players in the National Basketball Association. He is one of the biggest surprises this season. Lillard became the leader of a young Trail Blazers team as he led them into the NBA Playoffs. The former Weber State Wildcats star has been selected to the All-NBA Second Team for the first team in his career. Lillard has been voted by the fans to two All-Star games. He is going to get better in the several years. Lillard will be making an estimated $13 million extra over the span of his five year contract because of the Rose Rule.

Being selected to the All-NBA Second Team is a big honor. These guys have the potential to be on the All-NBA First Team next season.
