Angela Simmons Expecting Her First Child Amid Rumors About Her Mysterious Fiancé

Angela Simmons, the second eldest daughter of RUN D.M.C. rapper Rev. Run, is expecting her first child.

Simmons announced the news on her Instagram account on May 27, showing off her small baby bump after pictures appeared online, sparking pregnancy rumors.

“We are overjoyed and super excited to receive a blessing this big! Starting a family was something that I could have only dreamed of,” Angela, 28, wrote in the caption.

The news of Angela’s pregnancy comes only a month after she announced on Instagram that she’s engaged. Angela has been very private with her love life, so it is unknown who she is currently engaged to, but many have their suspicions.

Towards the end of last year, fans believed Simmons was dating the rapper Yo Gotti who admitted to having a crush on her in his song, “Down in the DM.” These rumors were further fueled when, according to BET, Yo Gotti sent Simmons roses in recognition of the launch of her new eco-friendly luxury fur line and Simmons responded.

“Thank you for the beautiful flowers and support our @sanyarichiross new venture @yogottikom,” Angela wrote on Instagram with a photo of the flowers.

However, earlier this year Angela posted a picture on her Instagram of her piggyback riding with a man who’s face isn’t visible but many agree it is not Yo Gotti in the picture. Whoever the man is though it’s clear he’s the only man in Angela’s life right now.

“My one and only #MCE,” Simmons wrote in the caption. “The true definition of a MCE… One who truly has your back. #TrueLove #Thankful.”

This “Mystery Man” is said to be Angela’s new fiancé and presumably the father of her first child (although many still think the child could be Yo Gotti’s).

So far, Angela has done well with keeping her fiancé out of the public eye, but as she continues with her reality show, Growing Up Hip-Hop, it may become more and more difficult to kept her new beau a secret.

There are already rumors about who the man could be. According to Bossip, a source claims Angela’s finacé is a 35-year-old Atlanta native and convicted felon named Sutton Tennyson who currently lives in L.A. but Angela has not confirmed that rumor. Although Angela has been pretty private about her love life she has been spotted a few times with a man who seems to be the fiancé in question.

No matter who Angela’s fiancé is, at this point it’s clear it’s not Yo Gotti and fans have taken to Twitter, predicting how Yo Gotti is reacting to the news of Angela’s pregnancy.

While the question of who Angela’s fiancé really continues to be highly debated, another thing people are questioning is Angela’s pregnancy altogether. Just a few months ago, Angela was on The Breakfast Club and one of the hosts, Charlamagne Tha God, asked Angela if she ever worried she’d be “trapped” by a guy by getting pregnant. Angela responded, stating that she didn’t need to worry about that and she wouldn’t get pregnant because she was waiting until she was married to be intimate with anyone.

Fans can’t help but question Angela’s previous statements in light of her now public pregnancy, wondering if she lied on The Breakfast Club, or if she just changed her mind since then. Either way, the timing of everything has upset many fans.

No matter what the circumstances may be, Angela Simmons is happily pregnant and engaged, and her friends and family are happy as well. Angela’s child will be Rev Run’s third grandchild and we’re sure he can’t wait.
