Jennifer Esposito Slams Reports That She Disappeared Amid $43 Million Lawsuit

Jennifer Esposito has not fled the country despite what has previously been reported by Page Six and others following their lead. The former Blue Bloods actress took to Facebook on Friday to set the record straight and prove that she did not flee to Denmark in the wake of a staggering $43 million lawsuit.

“Sadly the only scandal here is that you don’t do any research to what your writing and call yourself ‘news,'” Esposito wrote on Facebook. “I’d actually love a vacation at the moment but am in my bakery where I usually am, baking as I do for the people of this community. Happy to educate you and come see me in ‘Denmark’ [at] 263 east 10th Street in NYC anytime.”

To further prove that she hadn’t gone anywhere, Esposito posted a handful of videos of herself inside the NYC bakery and invited anyone who questioned her whereabouts to come in for a visit. She also linked to a Fox News report on her rumored departure even though they didn’t originate the story, they just ran with it without checking the facts first.

Page Six was one of the first to report that Jennifer Esposito had fled the country and may be hiding out in Denmark. The reason for her hasty exit, according to the false reports, stemmed from a $43 million lawsuit brought against her and her bakery Jennifer’s Way. “She is taking off to Denmark for an undetermined amount of time” the report claimed an anonymous source told them.

The $43 million lawsuit that prompted rumors about the former Blue Bloods star was lodged by her investors, including her current husband. Maybe Fox News did get it right when they announced that Esposito and Louis Dowler are divorcing. Otherwise, that would make for some pretty uncomfortable pillow talk. Esposito has filed for divorce and cited “cruel and inhumane treatment” as her grounds for ending the marriage. Esposito also claimed in a divorce affidavit, “Like he did during the short-lived marriage to me, Dowler now seems to be aligning himself with individuals he thinks could best earn him money.”

In any case, Jennifer Esposito’s partners filed a lawsuit back in March because they claim she was bad-mouthing them and telling her customers not to buy products from their bakeries even though they are the same place that was supplying her for the gluten-free Jennifer’s Way bakery. There are also accusations that Esposito hi-jacked their website and redirected it to her own personal web page, effectively shutting down online ordering for their business.

According to the New York Post, Esposito partnered up with Lawrence Wenner and David Drake in 2014 to open a bakery in Queens. That commercial bakery would bake and ship orders placed via the website while the Jennifer’s Way bakery made their own products and sold them on-site.

Things got really ugly between Esposito and her partners when she refused to move her storefront bakery ownership over to the company that she had created with her investors. It was after that when Esposito posted on her own website that the Jennifer’s Way commercial bakery was “NOT under my Therefore, anything from there I do NOT stand behind.” That post prompted the partners to slap her with a restraining order, banning the actress from badmouthing them.

In the wake of the Page Six report claiming that Jennifer Esposito skipped town in order to avoid a $43 million lawsuit, she has invited the staffers to come down to her Jennifer’s Way bakery and have a cupcake. It’s unlikely that anyone will take her up on the offer though because Jennifer followed up the offer with “F**k off.”
