Kris Kardashian? At Least One Family Member Supports Jenner’s Proposed Name Change
Kris Jenner’s desire to change her name back to Kris Kardashian may have been met with skepticism by her daughter Khloe Kardashian, but at least one family member supports Kris’ desire to throw it back with a name change.
According to an unnamed source for Hollywood Life, Rob Kardashian likes the idea of his mother changing her name, because he believes it honors his late father while allowing Kris Jenner to leave her marriage to Caitlyn Jenner in the past.
“Rob totally supports his mom’s decision to change her name back to Kardashian. It’s no offense to Caitlyn of course. Rob cherishes his relationship with Caitlyn and is so appreciative of everything she has done for him. He will always love her like a father. But now that Caitlyn and Kris have gone their separate ways, Rob thinks it makes sense for his mom change her name back to Kardashian. He also feels like it’s a way to honor his dad, which means a lot to him.”
Earlier this month, E! Online posted a Keeping Up With the Kardashians cut scene in which Kris Jenner revealed to Khloe Kardashian that she was considering changing her name back to Kris Kardashian. Khloe immediately expressed disgust and disappointment at the idea, reminding her mother that Kris Kardashian hadn’t been her name in more than 24 years.

In the clip, Khloe’s mother reminds her that she, in fact, was the first famous Kardashian woman.
“I was that before you were that. I was the original Kardashian.”
But Khloe doesn’t buy it. Instead, the 31-year-old KUWTK star thinks the idea of Kris Jenner changing her surname to Kardashian is odd.
“I don’t care if you were that. That’s bizarre. Why don’t you go back to your maiden name?” Khloé said “Keep Kris Jenner. Don’t you think that’s insulting to your two daughters?”
Khloe is referring to Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner, who are Kris Jenner’s daughters with Caitlyn Jenner.
Kris responds, “If Bruce can change his name to Caitlyn, I think I’m good.”
Kris Jenner, whose maiden name is Houghton, went by Kris Kardashian from 1978 until she divorced Robert Kardashian in 1991. Robert Kardashian, who died in 2003, is the father of Kourtney, Khloe, Kim, and Rob Kardashian.
Robert Kardashian holds a special place in the hearts of all the Kardashian children, and it seems as if the Kardashian kids attempt to honor their late father on every opportunity they have. Perhaps that’s why 29-year-old Rob Kardashian is reportedly all for his mother changing her name back to Kris Kardashian.

The whole name-change discussion came up after the 60-year-old matriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner family told Khloe that she sometimes refers to herself as Kris Kardashian on phone calls — especially if she’s attempting to make reservations at a restaurant.
Whether or not Kris actually decides to change her name back to Kardashian remains to be seen, but it’s becoming obvious that the Kardashian clan is growing at an alarmingly quick pace. Rob Kardashian is expecting to bring two new Kardashians into the family sometime soon, as his fiancée Blac Chyna has already made it obvious that she will go by her real name, Angela Kardashian, after the couple marries. Additionally, Blac is pregnant with Rob’s baby and carrying the newest member of the Kardashian family.
If Kris Jenner decides to change her name back to Kardashian, that makes three new Kardashians in a relatively short time frame.
