Khloe Kardashian And Lamar Odom: Will Couple Divorce? She Says They Will Forever Be ‘Besties’

Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom may be headed for a divorce after being separated for years, but that doesn’t mean that the former couple aren’t still close. After being faced with rumors of tension between them, Khloe Kardashian answered a fan’s question on Twitter, claiming she and Odom will forever be “besties.”

“I want you to clear the air and tell everyone you and [Lamar Odom] [are] good. I hate that people are so mean to [you] guys,” a fan wrote on May 23.

In response, Khloe Kardashian explained, “There is no air to clear. Him and I are besties and forever will be! We will never address [every] rumor. Thats not who we are.”

Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom parted ways in 2013, when he was accused of using drugs and cheating on her with a number of women, but although Kardashian filed for divorce months after their split, their divorce had not yet been finalized at the time Odom suffered an overdose in October 2015.

While Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom have remained married for years after their split, a source weeks ago confirmed Kardashian was ready to move forward with their divorce.

In April, a source told People Magazine that Khloe Kardashian was “ready to move on” and planning to pick up their divorce proceedings in the near future.

“[Khloe Kardashian] doesn’t agree with some of Lamar’s choices in the past few weeks,” the source explained. “She plans on refiling for divorce soon. She and Lamar are just figuring out the finances first.”

“Khloé was there for Lamar when he needed her. She spent months making sure he got the best care and was able to recover. Lamar was her main focus, and it was draining for her. Lamar is ready to be on his own now,” the source continued.

As Odom recovered from his overdose months ago, rumors swirled with regard to his possible reconciliation with Khloe Kardashian, but after Odom was spotted drinking at a bar with friends in March – just one night before celebrating the Easter holiday with Khloe Kardashian and her family – things between them reportedly became tense, and Kardashian was said to be “very worried” about her husband and his behavior.

“Sometimes the person you want most is the person you’re best without,” Khloe Kardashian wrote on Instagram around the time photos surfaced of Odom at a bar.

“Letting go doesn’t mean that you don’t care about someone anymore. It’s just realizing that the only person you really have control over is yourself. We have to learn to stop taking on peoples problems as if they are our own. Loving people does not mean we have to carry their burdens and confusions on our back.”

Also in April, Odom addressed the ongoing rumors regarding his and Khloe Kardashian’s impending divorce, telling Entertainment Tonight, “We did talk, you know, everything is [up for] discussion. We talk about anything. We’ve been through a lot. It won’t ever stop.”

Despite Khloe Kardashian’s decision to move forward with her divorce, she has made it clear time and time again that Odom is extremely important to her, and as his recovery continues, she will remain by his side as a friend.
