‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 6 Spoilers: Whose Bloodline Will Episode 6 Reveal – Tommen, The Cleganes Or Jon Snow?

As Game of Thrones reveals its new batch of episode titles and descriptions for Season 6, one stood out in particular – “Blood of My Blood.” Speculations are widespread that the episode will finally reveal Jon Snow’s bloodline. The episode’s description did not give enough clues.

“An old foe comes back into the picture. Gilly meets Sam’s family. Arya faces a difficult choice. Jaime faces off against the High Sparrow.”

Fans are only holding on to the statement Kit Harington gave Entertainment Weekly.“There’s one episode this season, which is Jon’s story, that’s the most epic episode we’ve done,” he said fueling guesses that the sixth episode will reveal who his real parents are.

In the same interview, Kit revealed that he wasn’t immediately informed that his character would return from the dead. He just thought that if Jon was indeed dead, he’d never learn about one of the show’s biggest mysteries – his parentage. “Why would there be this whole arc about your mother if that was never going to be relevant information because you died before finding out?” he said.

He explained that like the fans, the Game of Thrones cast also theorized about the possible ways that he could return. There’s Melisandre reviving him – which turned out to be true – there’s the idea of him “warging” into his beloved direwolf, Ghost. Some, likewise, thought that he’d come back as a zombie.

When showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss dropped the news that Jon wasn’t really dead, he was warned not to tell anybody including his parents. Kit, however, couldn’t hide the news from them, but joked that they should remain quiet if they didn’t want to lose their “financial” source.

The English actor was told that the cast members would remain unaware. The showrunners told Kit that he’d do a lot of things for Game of Thrones Season 6 and he recalled feeling “incredibly happy.”

Kit felt guilty too, because he was asked to give a farewell speech in front of his colleagues. Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner, known as Sansa Stark, even penned a lengthy letter for Kit. They were more than happy when he showed up for work, although hiding him from onlookers proved to be a challenge.

When news of Kit’s appearances showing up on set started surfacing, he had to lie and say that he’s filming several corpse scenes. He already issued an apology for “deceiving” fans.

“I’d like to say sorry for lying to everyone. I’m glad that people were upset that he died. I think my biggest fear was that people were not going to care or it’d just be, ‘Fine, Jon Snow’s dead.’ But it seemed like people did have, similar to the ‘Red Wedding’ episode, a kind of grief about it. Which meant that something I’m doing, or that the show’s doing, for Jon is right.”

Kit has nothing to worry for it seems that Game of Thrones viewers never really believed that he passed away. The R+L=J theory about Jon’s identity remains popular. As per the long-standing theory, Jon is not the illegitimate child of Ned Stark, but the son of his sister Lyanna with Rhaegar Targaryen, the son of the “Mad King” Aerys.

When Aerys was overthrown, Rhaegar was also killed by Robert Baratheon. After battling Aerys’ Kingsguards, who were then protecting Dorne’s Tower of Joy, Ned found his sister in her “bed of blood.” While on her deathbed, Lyanna allegedly asked Ned to protect her son at all costs. When he returned to Winterfell, Ned claimed that he had a son while he was away to protect the infant.

The upcoming Game of Thrones episode title can also be about Tommen Baratheon realizing that his uncle is actually is father, or the episode can revolve around the Cleganes. After all, Game of Thrones is famous for pulling the rug out from hopeful fans.
