Melissa Rycroft Gives Birth To Baby No. 3 As ‘Bachelor’ Baby Boom Continues

Melissa Rycroft is a new mama again. The former Bachelor contestant and Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars winner gave birth to a baby boy on May 18, according to E! News. Melissa and husband Tye Strickland named their son Cayson jack. The baby weighed eight pounds, 12 ounces.

The birth of Melissa Rycroft’s new son means the Stricklands are now a family of five. Melissa and Tye are also parents to a daughter, Ava Grace, who was born in 2011, and another son, Beckett Thomas, who was born in 2014.

Ahead of her delivery, Melissa told E! News that she is much more laid back this time around and that she didn’t even stress out about putting a nursery together ahead of time.

“I feel so unprepared, but at the same time, having gone through this twice before, I know the things you need with a newborn,” Rycroft said. “I’ve learned the things to not stress about.”

Melissa also dished on her plans to make her delivery as smooth as possible, and that included bringing her favorite Katy Perry and Pitbull music along for the ride.

“It’s always nice to have the music to kind of relax you and take in the moment as much as possible,” Melissa said of her iPod playlist for the hospital. “Poppy-upbeat stuff. I don’t want any country; I don’t want anything slow and sappy because I’m very hormonal.”

Melissa Rycroft also teased that while Cayson could very well be her last baby, she has learned to “never say never.'”

“I say we’re good to go, but my husband hasn’t taken care of that permanently yet,” Rycroft said. “So you can never say never… We’re going to be outnumbered which is already a scary thing!”

Rycroft, who struggled with postpartum depression after the birth of her daughter, previously told People that her second child really changed things in her household.

“I used to have all of this free time even with my one child,” Melissa said shortly after her second baby, Beckett, was born. “I have one more and I don’t sit down anymore, so it’s crazy.”

Melissa Rycroft first announced she was pregnant via a cute Instagram post last November. Melissa and Tye posed with their two kids with a sign that said, “And then there were five.”
