Jennifer Aniston Funds Scientific Breakthrough ‘Second Skin’ To Eliminate Wrinkles

Jennifer Aniston wants women around the world to have smooth, wrinkle-free skin. In fact, saggy and wrinkled skin may soon become a thing of the past thanks to Aniston’s efforts, according to Elle. Well, more like Aniston’s money and brainy scientists’ efforts.

A group of super-smart scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) designed a two-step transparent serum that prevents skin dryness and tightens saggy, under-eye skin. The innovation is licensed to two companies, Olivo Labs and Living Proof, and Jennifer Aniston is an investor in the latter.

Jennifer Aniston, who was recently named the World’s Most Beautiful Woman 2016 by People magazine, may be the person to thank for your future wrinkle-free and smooth skin. In a report published in Nature Materials in collaboration with a Harvard Medical School dermatologist, it is said that this material is nothing the world has seen before.

“Until now, there has been nothing that could restore the elastic property of skin, and this material does that.”

Robert Langer, the lead MIT scientist of the Jennifer Aniston-supported project, explained in an interview that the so-called “second skin” can last for up to 16 hours and it can be applied every day. In fact, when testing the “second skin” on himself, Langer didn’t even feel it was there, he admitted.

Although the news that Jennifer Aniston was named the World’s Most Beautiful Woman 2016 by People magazine made the Friends actress’ fans ecstatic, some people weren’t so happy about it. It’s the age of the actress that raise some questions, according to The Sydney Morning Herald.

While there is no doubt Jennifer Aniston fully deserves her World’s Most Beautiful Woman title for the way she looks, some people believe that the actress won just because she is 47 and just because she manages to maintain her beauty at this age.

In fact, Jennifer Aniston was named the world’s most beautiful woman 12 years ago, in 2004, when her hit comedy show Friends aired its final season. After the Friends star found out about her second win this year, she admitted in her interview with People that it was a “teenage-y kind of moment.”

“I thought ‘Oh my god’… There was this sort of very excited, teenage-y kind of moment.”

But, if people are right, and if People awarded Jennifer Aniston with 2016 World’s Most Beautiful Woman title just because she is 47, then it looks like could be a pity prize, as the actress receives it just because she manages to not fail in her looks at her age.

In fact, many news outlets reporting about Jennifer Aniston’s win, including Daily Mail and LA Times, included the Friends actress’ age in their headline, making it look like it may be the only reason she has been awarded the title.

Last year, Sandra Bullock won the same title at the age of 50. But, not only did she dominate the World’s Most Beautiful Woman list, but also the World’s Oldest Most Beautiful Woman list. And, when the magazine’s senior editor Julie Jordan unveiled People‘s cover with Jennifer Aniston, she said the actress is “more gorgeous than ever” at 47.

Meanwhile, Mother’s Day, which stars Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson, Julia Roberts and Britt Robertson, has so far earned $22.81 million in the U.S. after 10 days in theaters, according to Forbes. On the Mother’s Day weekend alone, the film earned a whopping $11.09 million, a jump of 32.5 percent above the opening week.

In the movie, Jennifer Aniston plays Sandy, a divorced mother of two whose ex-husband recently got married to a younger woman named Tina, played by Shay Mitchell. Julia Roberts portrays Miranda, a successful writer who gave up her child, Kristin, played by Britt Robertson, for adoption at birth.
