Helena Bonham Carter has admitted that different parts of her body look different ages, according to The Belfast Telegraph. The Fight Club actress revealed some parts of her body look either older or younger than her actual age, which is 49.
And even though Helena Bonham Carter looks like she is barely pushing her 40s, the Alice in Wonderland actress turns 50 on May 16. In her interview with Harper’s Bazaar, the actress called the dress she wore for a photo shoot with the British magazine “a real work of art.”

But it’s different ages of different parts of her body that worry Helena Bonham Carter.
“Bits of me are different ages, anyway, my knees are really ancient, I’ve always had terrible eyes and a terrible back. My arms and tummy are quite good…”
Helena Bonham Carter also revealed that the trick is in the lighting. Sometimes the lighting can make you look gorgeous, but sometimes it can make you look terrible. But Carter advises to just not “look at yourself.”
Helena Bonham Carter is popular not only for her outstanding acting skills but also her unique signature style. The actress never follows any mainstream trends; instead, she goes with her own style and often becomes the most stylish star on the red carpet of various events.
In the photoshoot with the British magazine, Helena Bonham Carter wore an enormous Ralph & Russo dress that featured cute ruffles and “a pretty indestructible corset,” as described by the actress herself. She added that it’s “a real work of art,” and her fans couldn’t agree more!

Explaining her choice of quirky style, Helena Bonham Carter said she has never felt comfortable wearing clothes everyone else wears, so she just goes with her own style, which brings her comfort.
Moreover, Helena Bonham Carter is not one of those Hollywood women to complain about the foods that make you fat, as the actress says she loves food. In her interview with Britain’s Stylist magazine, Carter admitted she is “rounder,” adding that it “does help the face.”
“Elizabeth Taylor once said you have to choose between the body and the face at some point and I think she was right. I did diet when I was younger but now I just eat. I don’t overeat though.”
Helena Bonham Carter has recently opened up about her painful split from animator Tim Burton, according to the Daily Mail. The 49-year-old actress and Burton broke up in late 2014 after 13 years of being together.

And even though Helena Bonham Carter and Burton remain on friendly terms to raise their two children, Billy, 12, and Nell, 8, the Harry Potter actress revealed their break-up brought incredible pain into her life.
In the same interview with Harper’s Bazaar magazine, Helena Bonham Carter said she even wanted to put a “handle with care” tape across her head because she felt abandoned and fragile.
“You go through massive grief – it is a death of a relationship, so it’s utterly bewildering. Your identity, everything, changes.”
At one point of the interview, Helena Bonham Carter said people should be “careful,” as she is “not [her]self at the moment.” Carter and Burton started dating in 2001 after they met on the set of Planet of the Apes.
The two never married and lived in two adjoining houses in London, which was a subject of speculation in the media for a long time. Helena Bonham Carter also admitted she could still work with her former boyfriend in the future.
“We really do get on, so that’s good. I understand him very well and he understands me.”
