Rachael Ray Sent What To Rachel Roy After Lemonade-gate?

On the album Lemonade, Beyoncé sings about “Becky with the good hair,” who her husband Jay Z allegedly cheated on her with. Many immediately jumped to the conclusion that it was designer Rachel Roy since she has history with Jay Z. Rachael Ray, the daytime chef, however, does not have history with Beyoncé or Jay Z, so when her fans started to attack her on Twitter and Instagram, odds are she was confused.

Now that the dust has settled on Lemonade-gate, Rachael Ray made sure Rachel Roy felt supported. Before Lemonade Ray probably had no idea who Roy was, but after the mix-up she’s been made well aware of who she is and what her alleged position is in hurting Bey. In an effort to support Rachel Roy, the other Rachael sent Roy a little gift. As it turns out, Ray wasn’t the only one to send a gift.

According to Us Weekly, the two exchanged gifts with each other. “Rachel [Roy] sent me flowers and I sent her a bottle, a big bottle of wine and a straw.”

Rachael Ray continued to explain the wine choices she had picked for Rachel Roy:

“[I was going to send Roy] Brunello di Montalcino, where I was married, but I said for our office to ask her office if she drinks red and if she didn’t drink red, to send Grande Dame. So I don’t know actually which one she got. I wrote the card and she got the straw and the booze.”

Here’s just a sampling of the comments Rachel Ray received on a photo of a burger:

dylancolemanprince: Why would you get with Jay Z???? He is married?????

dannyryry: Yummmmy good food. Jay knows how to pick em!

maryshane_mcqueen: Jay-Z likes this? He seems like a Philly Cheese Steak type of guy.

maryshane_mcqueen: Jay-Z favorite color is Blue and you’re serving him this 30 Minute quick meal on a Red plate? If you’re going to cheat with Jay-Z, do it right! Poor Beyonce, she doesn’t deserve this! #JusticeForBeyonce
thebrandonsousa: I bet that’s exactly what you were whipping up in jayzs kitchen while Beyoncé was out performing.

The attacks didn’t end on Instagram, the Bey hive went to Twitter to attack Rachael Ray.

It got to such an extreme level that BuzzFeed published a PSA titled, “Important PSA For Beyoncé Fans: Rachael Ray Is Not Rachel Roy.”

In the piece the writer sums it up brilliantly, “Stop coming for poor Rachael Ray. She just wants to make brunch.”

That said, if Rachel Roy wanted to escape the drama, she didn’t exactly make it easy for herself. When Lemonade dropped, Roy posted a photo on Instagram with the caption, “Good hair don’t care, but we will take good lighting for selfies, or self truths, always. Live in the light. #nodramaqueens.” The photo was quickly deleted off of her Instagram.

Fans got in their “formation” and attacked her with insults and of course “bee” emojis.

Rachel Roy and Rachael Ray weren’t the only people to get dragged in the Jay Z Beyoncé cheating drama. One name that kept on coming up was musician Rita Ora. The Bey hive focused on a particular Instagram post that Ora left, which was a photo of her wearing a bathing suit with lemons. She was of course attacked, and she addressed the rumors on Twitter in an effort to get everyone to calm down.

The most brilliant thing to come out of this whole debacle is the newfound friendship between Rachael and Rachel.
