Khloe Kardashian Evicted Lamar’s Father: Can Lamar Odom Face Reality TV Without A Stiff Drink?
Khloe Kardashian took matters into her own hands and effectively removed Joe Odom, not only from his home of ten years but from his son’s life. It was recently revealed by BET that while Lamar Odom was hospitalized for alcohol addiction, Khloe was busy trying to solve her in-law problems permanently. Joe and his wife were forced to move out of state and away from their son.
Lamar Odom had provided a home for his parents for the last 10 years. Paying $4000 a month in rent for his dad and step mom was his way of taking responsibility for aging parents. Ms. Kardashian stopped paying the rent on the home without even having the courage to confront Joe Odom. She had her financial adviser call to give the bad news that not only would the rent not be paid, but his cell phone service was also about to be disconnected, according to BET.
“Khloé didn’t even have the guts to tell me herself that my rent wasn’t going to be paid anymore. She got the guys who handle Lamar’s money to call me and they said the rent wouldn’t be paid, I gotta move and my phone was going to get cut off.”
Khloe Kardashian has repeatedly refused to allow Joe to talk to or see his son at all, according to TMZ.
“I just wish I could be at his side in L.A. to support him, but Khloé doesn’t want me there,” he said. “Whenever I call him, she answers. She must be checking his texts, too. I can’t always get through to him anymore.”
Khloe Kardashian took it upon herself to answer calls from Joe to his son, refusing to allow him to speak to his own child. Allegedly, other family members, ironically the deceased ones, found a unique way to speak with Lamar. Khloe revealed on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Odom told her about his near death experience.
“[Lamar had] real in-depth dreams with people who passed on. I think he went to Heaven from the conversations he has with me.”
Lamar Odom’s most personal secrets were revealed to a worldwide audience last night, according to TMZ. His addictions, his hospitalization, his dreams, and his confusion were all on display, so who can blame him for turning to alcohol for comfort. At the same time, he nearly died last year from an addiction-related collapse, so drinking is not safe for him.
“I kinda want him to be a little more afraid. Bad things can happen if you go back to that life. This is, like, a second chance.”
So where is their relationship after all this? Lamar’s reply to the question of getting back with Khloe was just a bit cryptic.
“I’ll say my prayers,”
The inference, of course, was that Odom was praying to be reunited with Ms. Kardashian, but is that really what he meant?
Khloe Kardashian replied that she wanted to go ahead with the divorce, even if they later got back together. For now, she wants an official divorce from Lamar.
“[Our marriage has] been a little tainted… we need to cut our ties, and we can figure it back out.”
Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom seem destined for divorce, via Khloe’s decision, but may reconcile later if Lamar can control his addictions.
