Shep Rose Apologizes For Rude Comment, Launches New Running Store

Shep Rose is known for being a joker who likes to hook up with random girls. As some of his Southern Charm co-stars reveal, Shep has probably hooked up with many of their mutual friends, and he has probably tried to hook up with many women in Charleston. Rose has expressed that he likes dating random women, and he doesn’t really see himself settling down. Instead, Rose has been focusing on his various business ventures, including launching his very own restaurant. And these days, he’s thinking about yet another venture: a running store.

According to a new tweet, Shep Rose is now revealing that he’s planning on opening a new store in Charleston, and he wants to focus on people’s health. While Rose hasn’t been running while filming Southern Charm, it sounds like he thinks he can make something great happen with a running store – at least, it sounds like that on Twitter.

“Opening a running store called jog your memory. Need investors!” Shep Rose revealed on Twitter, sharing that he’s looking for people who can possibly help him launch this new store in Charleston, South Carolina.

Of course, it sounds like Shep has had plenty of business ideas, as his co-star Cameran Eubanks asked him about another idea he may have pursued at one time, writing, “[W]hatever happens to You’re giving me the Crepes?”

These days, Rose knows that people need support with their business ventures, and on last week’s episode of Southern Charm, Shep made some jokes about his friend who painted a picture of him. One can imagine that his friend was trying to use the show to market her art, but Shep decided to use the show as a way to make a joke about their relationship. And he decided to reveal that they were indeed hooking up. After watching the episode, Shep Rose immediately regretted his words and decided to write a blog for Southern Charm about his behavior.

“My respect and love for her as a friend is immeasurable. So, when I saw in the episode that the phrase “DTF” was used in reference to her, my heart sank. You see, it was a long interview and I try to be funny and irreverent, and sometimes I say things that cross the line. Unfortunately, this insensitive and completely inaccurate comment is one of these times. It was a poor and clumsy attempt at humor,” Shep Rose explains on his Bravo blog.

Maybe Shep just wants to change his attitude a bit so he can become a positive and supportive friend rather than make fun of women who choose to hook up with him on occasion. As he explains, Rose has apologized for his comments, and he will be working to make up for his comment. It was clearly one that hurt his friend.

“I’ve spoken with her about it and thankfully she has forgiven me, but it will still be something that wears heavily on me because speaking about women in such a flippant and cavalier way is something that I never, ever want to be associated with. So I want to apologize to her and to anyone who is offended. She is an outstanding person who makes me smile at the thought of her, and I hope we will be lifelong friends. I’ve already promised to take her on a nice vacation somewhere to make up for any embarrassment that I’ve caused,” Rose explains, sharing that he wants to be supportive of his friends, especially when it comes to careers and businesses.

What do you think of Shep Rose’s decision to start another business? Do you think he needs to treat his friends with respect if he wants their support?
