Kate Hudson And Mom, Goldie Hawn, Share Mother’s Day Plans, Kate Nails Prince Cover

Kate Hudson and her actress mom, Goldie Hawn, hit the red carpet together on Friday night in Beverly Hills, California, for the annual Goldie’s Love In For Kids benefit. The gorgeous mother-daughter duo shared about their plans for this Mother’s Day. Hudson and Hawn agreed without hesitation that they would be spending the day in bed “being served brunch and mimosas by the men of the family,” as People shares.

Goldie shared with reporters as to how this scenario would work out within the extended family.

“We’re going to Kate’s. Everybody’s kids will make things, and all the guys will be there, and then we’ll all get in bed and eat.”

Looking radiant in a lacy black dress, Hudson elaborated about the special bond she has with Hawn and what the best advice is that the First Wives Club actress ever gave Kate.

“It can never be one thing. She’s my great confidante.”

The publication also shares about a previous interview given by Kate during which the actress divulged more lovely details about her adoring mom Goldie.

“What makes mom the best is that she never put any expectations too high on the kids, She just wanted us to be doing the things that made us happy, as long as we were working hard, but we never had to live up to something.”

Seventy-year-old Hawn then took her turn to gush about her children.

“I think they are amazing parents. You can’t tell your kids what to do, but you can show them. And by example your kids learn ultimately [it’s] not what you say, it’s what you do. So, they’ve watched us for better or worse.”

Kate Hudson has two sons: Ryder, 12, and Bingham, 4. Fittingly, Hudson’s latest onscreen effort, entitled Mother’s Day, is in theaters now.

Goldie has a total of four children, including Kate, Oliver Hudson, Wyatt Russell, and Boston Russell.

“Profits from Goldie’s Love In For Kids benefit go to her Mind Up program, which helps kids reduce stress and increase concentration through the Buddhist technique of Mindfulness Training,” as People shares.

While at the event, which honors children, Kate Hudson honored a legend of the music industry who passed recently. The 37-year-old nailed a performance of the Prince hit “Nothing Compares 2 U.” Us Weekly recalls the scene.

“Kate Hudson showed off her impressive singing skills with a performance of Prince’s ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ at mom Goldie Hawn’s Love In for Kids charity event on Friday. The ‘Bride Wars’ actress, 37, shared a clip of the touching moment from the Beverly Hills affair on Instagram. In the video, she is pictured wearing a one-shoulder black dress as she belts out the tune onstage.”

The hit song was originally written and composed by Prince, but was made popular by Sinead O’Connor in 1990. Prince, who passed away on April 21 at the age of 57, often performed his own version of the track at concerts.

Kate did her part to pay tribute to the legend who reportedly died in his Paisley Park home. The family of the musician announced on the same day as Hawn’s party that they are planning the singer’s memorial service that will take place in the “near future. ” The family released a statement about the memorial, as the publication relays.

“We would like everyone to know that, contrary to previous and current reports, there has been no memorial, funeral or tribute service for Prince that was organized or authorized by the family or Paisley Park representatives.”

The sorrow has been felt around the globe since Prince’s passing. Kate Hudson did an exceptional job to honor his life and achievements.
