‘Sister Wives’ Preview: Maddie Brown Tells Her Family About Her Engagement [Video]
Maddie Brown of Sister Wives is already engaged, but this hasn’t all aired on the show yet. Us Magazine shared a preview of the upcoming season of Sister Wives, where Maddie Brown will tell the family all about her big engagement. In this preview, the Sister Wives family is all at Janelle’s house so they can hear this great news from Maddie. Kody explains that Madison has been visiting Caleb and just got back.
The Sister Wives family is so big that Maddie had to get them all together before she shared her big news. Janelle explained that Maddie was looking for a job and an apartment while she was up there with Caleb. Kody Brown even shared that his daughter is kind of “under the weather” when she is away from Caleb. This Sister Wives daughter has big plans to move up there to be with him.
When it comes to Maddie, Janelle Brown shares that she was always a tough cookie, and it is great to see her getting a bit emotional. Fans of Sister Wives know that this is the first serious relationship that Maddie has had that they talked about on the show. They start to talk about how they think that Caleb should be proposing soon. Kody says he isn’t going to push it, but he does feel like there is something in the air. Janelle shared that she was just having the entire Sister Wives family over to eat while Maddie was home, but it turns out there is more to it.
Maddie Brown walks in the door, and a lot of the younger kids rush over to hug her. Kody asks her if she wants to say the blessing, but then Maddie shares that she has something to tell them all first. Next, she just holds up her hand to show off her engagement ring. Janelle shared that Caleb picked out a ring that was perfect for Maddie. It is obvious that the entire Sister Wives family loves Caleb, and they are excited that he is engaged to Maddie finally.
ET shared that Maddie Brown doesn’t have big plans to take after her parents, though. She will not have sister wives and live the life of polygamy that they live. Maddie revealed that she doesn’t plan to do this, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t agree with her parent’s way of life. Maddie also shared the details of her engagement.
“It was cold and we were huddled in jackets and I thought he was crazy to stop. He said to come look over here. So I walked with him to the edge. He told me he could never express how much he loved me, but he wanted to spend his life trying, and went down in one knee and pulled out a box. I started kissing him and saying, ‘Yes, yes!”
Caleb revealed that they will not be living plural marriage.
He said, “We are not living a plural marriage. We support Maddie’s family with their choice of living plural marriage, and they support us with our choice in just marrying each other.”
It will be interesting to see how many of the Brown children of Sister Wives end up deciding to live the plural lifestyle.
