Kanye West Fired Bodyguard For Talking To Kim Kardashian Amid Meltdown? Former Chippendales Dancer Denies Affair

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are in the eye of a rumor hurricane swirling around their relationship. And, although Kim has become skilled at appearing cool, calm and collected in public, her husband isn’t quite as skilled. Consequently, while their appearance at the Met Gala was notable for their fabulous fashion, the drama that Kardashian and West stirred up began even before they set foot on the red carpet, reported Vanity Fair.

The brouhaha occurred when Kanye reportedly became jealous because he observed a bodyguard chatting with Kim outside her hotel room. West allegedly then fired the bodyguard, Steve Stanulis, after the incident at the Waldorf Astoria.

The employee fired by Kanye has an unusual resume. Formerly a Staten Island police officer and Chippendales performer, Stanulis also served as bodyguard for Leonardo DiCaprio and Alanis Morissette.

Moreover, he offered his own version of what occurred when he was protecting the Keeping Up With The Kardashians stars, telling the Daily News that although Kanye assumed he was flirting with Kim, Stanulis reportedly felt he was fulfilling the responsibilities of his position.

“I’m not having an affair with Kim Kardashian, I’m not f—ing Kim Kardashian, I’m not doing anything with Kim Kardashian,” emphasized Steve. “Kanye needs to chill out.”

And just in case that wasn’t clear enough, the former Keeping Up With The Kardashians bodyguard compared West to other celebrities with whom he has interacted.

“He’s the most condescending person I’ve ever met in my life. I’ve worked with a lot of people in his position and higher a lot less self-absorbed and more humble.”

As for the timeline of what occurred, Stanulis explained that he was outside the Waldorf Astoria while Kardashian and West were getting ready for the Met Gala. He then headed upstairs to talk with someone from Kanye’s team regarding transportation. Kim came to the door.

“She was just naturally speaking to me in a normal manner,” Steve said. “I would describe it as her being very gracious… I was surprised she was very nice. She’s the polar opposite with me than he was.”

It wasn’t until later that the bodyguard learned he had been fired. As to the precise cause, Stanulis speculated that it was West or those on his team responsible for letting him go.

“What I could say was that him or his handlers didn’t like what they saw, the body language or what have you,” he mused.

Steve has made it clear that he is angry, insisting that he does not desire the media attention that has resulted in contrast to speculations that he is seeking publicity.

“When I’m walking outside my door and there are six guys with cameras asking me with my wife there ‘are you f—ing Kim Kardashian?’ I didn’t ask for that!” he added.

Prior to the Met Gala incident, Stanulis provided West with protection and claimed that he had another unpleasant encounter. But, now that he’s had problems again, he hopes to move on.

“Me being here and this getting this much attention, it’s basically karma f—ing him in the a**,” added Steve. “That’s what this is. It’s god’s way, he has a strange way of making things right.”

The bodyguard also offered a version of his story to the Daily Mail. Stanulis complained that when he greeted Kanye, West glared at him.

“[Kanye] went to the door and slammed it,” he added.

Soon after, he was told that his services would not be required further when it came to protecting Kardashian and West.

As to the claims that he had flirted with Kim, Steve said there was no time.

“Even if I wanted to, I never got the opportunity because it happened so fast,” he pointed out. “I had no intention on hitting on Kim Kardashian. I am happily married. I got enough problems in the world and three young kids.”

However, TMZ cited sources close to Kanye as denying that Stanulis was fired, claiming that instead he was a temp. Those sources speculated that the bodyguard is seeking publicity, and noted that although he worked with Team Kanye previously, what they see as a falsified firing tale to get publicity means he won’t have future opportunities.

And while the bodyguard definitely has gotten publicity, whether or not he desires it, the ultimate Met Gala winners were Kim and Kanye, who received the title of Vogue Online’s “Best Dressed Couple” at the Met Gala 2016, as the Inquisitr reported.

West headed to Twitter to give an acceptance speech.

However, although Kanye allegedly fired the bodyguard, Kim reportedly was furious at West over her Met Gala attire and had a meltdown, according to Radar Online.

A Kardashian insider described Kim as irate because West made her wear the gown in which she appeared.

“Kim was so furious last night that Kanye pressured her to wear that!” revealed the insider. “She seems so sick of wearing Balmain and she is definitely sick of Kanye calling the shots for practically every single thing she does.”
