Christina Aguilera To Focus On Kids, Upcoming Wedding After ‘The Voice’ Exit?

Christina Aguilera will not be returning to The Voice for Season 11, so what will she be doing this fall as her co-stars reunite?

As Adam Levine and Blake Shelton return for Season 11 along with new coaches Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera will be focused on her new series, Tracks, which is set to air later this year on Spike TV.

In March, the network announced the half-hour special, which is described as a music-based game show, and at the same time, it was reported that the special may ultimately be turned into a full-time series.

On the Christina Aguilera-produced series, a team of two contestants will be featured as they attempt to guess the name of a song by listening to individual tracks.

“Having finely tuned my ear for music over the years, I thought it would be fun to test other folks and see if they can identify a track — with a twist — since contestants will have to focus on a single component of a song,” Christina Aguilera said in a statement, via Variety. “I’m excited to have Tracks debuting on Spike TV, and proud to have this as the first project springing from our first-look deal with Lionsgate.”

The report also revealed Tracks would feature celebrity guests singing songs of their own or songs by others, and a host has not yet been announced.

As her career becomes more and more hectic, Christina Aguilera continues to juggle her responsibilities with her time with her children, Max and Summer Rain, and her fiancé, Matt Rutler. After splitting from ex-husband Jordan Bratman, the father of her son Max, in 2010, Christina Aguilera began dating Rutler, who is also listed as a producer on Tracks, and in 2014, they welcomed their first child together, daughter Summer Rain.

Christina Aguilera and Rutler also became engaged in 2014, but thus far, they don’t appear to have any plans to wed. In February of this year, two years after their Valentine’s Day engagement, Christina Aguilera spoke to Women’s Health magazine, revealing that while she and Rutler do discuss their upcoming ceremony, their conversations have been “casual.”

One year prior, Christina Aguilera claimed she and Rutler were too busy for a wedding and didn’t feel the need to prove their love for one another with a ceremony.

“Having just moved into a beautiful new home we call ‘the Sanctuary,’ having a baby, and now being excited to get back to work, I have my hands full and am not in a rush to set a date,” Christina Aguilera revealed to E! News. “I want to plan it and cherish the moment, while not feeling rushed. So when the schedule is more clear and I can take some downtime again, I can focus on that.”

As for the remainder of The Voice Season 10, a report by Celebrity Dirty Laundry on May 3 claimed Team Christina had a good chance of winning.

“Team Christina seems like a shoo-in for the win and to break the all-boys coach winning streak,” the outlet reported on Tuesday. “[Christina Aguilera]’s got three contenders and her roster is so strong, Christina might even own the top three slots all to herself. However, we think Laith might sit in one of those slots and Nick Hagelin will fall out in coming days. It seems like this contest is Alisan Porter’s to lose.”
