Gwen Stefani And James Corden Duet In ‘Carpool Karaoke’ Teaser

James Corden just released a teaser for the next installment of The Late Late Show‘s “Carpool Karaoke,” featuring none other than Gwen Stefani.

The “No Doubt” singer will be performing her best hits in the next “Carpool Karaoke,” which is set to air on Wednesday night, as reported by ET. In the released teaser, Gwen can be seen wearing a black turtleneck and her trademark red lipstick.

As is the case with the previous episodes of The Late Late Show’s“Carpool Karaoke,” James Corden was seen behind the wheel of his car, thanking his guest for keeping him company on his way to work.

“Do you mind if we listen to some music? Is that okay?” Corden asked Gwen.

“That is my favorite thing to do,” replied Stefani.

The teaser hit it off by showing Gwen and James belting out the chorus to “Don’t Speak.” As usual, Corden was in his element, singing at the top of his lungs like all get out.

The teaser then cut to the part where James asked Gwen to act out some of her favorite emojis. Stefani was more than happy to oblige as she acted out “lady in a red dress dancing,” the “little sideways kiss,” and — last but not least — the infamous eggplant emoji. She nailed them all.

The teaser ended by showing Stefani and Corden singing along to “Used to Love You.”

Gwen Stefani joins other stars like Mariah Carey, Jennifer Hudson, Carrie Underwood, Justin Bieber, and Adele, who jammed with James Corden in his “Carpool Karaoke” segment. Future stars who are set to appear in the sketch include Selena Gomez, Nick Jonas, and Demi Lovato.

Stefani’s newest album, This Is What the Truth Feels Like, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts. The album’s official first single, “Used to Love You,” was met with favorable reviews and enjoyed heavy airplay.

Inspired by the end of her marriage with Gavin Rossdale, This Is What the Truth Feels Like is perhaps Stefani’s most personal album to date. Struck by inspiration following the breakup, Gwen wrote songs in quick succession and finished the album in three months.

In a radio interview with KHTS-FM, Stefani described This Is What the Truth Feels Like as a breakup album.

“I would consider it a breakup record. Both of them were. It’s like the two people I… I only had two boyfriends. I wrote two records about them. You know what I mean? It’s just weird. […] It just makes me believe in God and my journey. My cross to bear was to go through these heartbreaks and write these songs and help people.”

In an interview with TIME, Stefani described the album as a “life-saver record.”

“It was really a life-saver record for me,” Stefani says of This Is What the Truth Feels Like. “It wasn’t until I had to go through the worst tragedy that it really opened up a channel for me to be like, ‘God gave me a gift. I’m going to use it now. Because if I don’t, I’m going to die.'”

“I’ve received so much love and so much healing,” Stefani recently told ET. “I never dreamed I’d have new music. This record it just came out of the sky. I mean, honestly, out of my heart, up and then out.”

Stefani’s breakup with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale was covered extensively in the media since the pair filed for divorce in August after thirteen years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences.” The divorce became final in October, 2015. The following month, Gwen and her The Voice co-host Blake Shelton announced that they were dating.
