Disney Weddings: Now You Can Get Married Inside The Magic Kingdom

Imagine having a wedding in front of Cinderella Castle inside the Magic Kingdom at Disney World in Orlando, Florida? It is nothing short of a dream for many brides who truly want to feel like a real-life princess on their big day — and the folks over at Disney World have made that happen time and time again.

For years, a wedding at Disney World meant booking the stunning venue at the Grand Floridian Resort (just one of a few locations previously available for a wedding). Breathtaking views of the Magic Kingdom and the luscious landscapes made this location one of the best places for a fairytale wedding.

However, Disney has recently outdone themselves, announcing that folks can now get married inside one of their theme parks.

According to USA Today, Disney has announced that they’ve opened their East Plaza Garden up as a wedding venue, offering couples an opportunity to say their “I do’s” with Cinderella Castle as a backdrop. This location is currently the closest that couples can get to the castle, making it super appealing.

“Brides will be able to live out a fairy tale dream like no other,” said Disney marketing director Korri McFann.

Although your special day won’t be completely private — ceremonies begin at 9:30 a.m. and happen during normal park hours — the venue is nothing short of nostalgic. The area can comfortably fit up to 100 guests, making the spot pretty ideal for a destination wedding.

Of course, a wedding next to Cinderella Castle will cost you.

“Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings package collections start at $2,500, and custom experiences begin at $12,000. Premiere locations such as the Magic Kingdom, with a completely customized ceremony and reception for 100 guests, start at $75,000.”

Walt Disney World weddings are extremely popular despite the price tag. Many brides have reserved wedding dates two years in advance. However, for those that can afford it, it is well worth the wait.

A carriage drawn by horses (with coachmen in appropriate attire) will pick up the bride and deliver her to the wedding venue. When she arrives, she will be greeted with the most beautiful floral arrangements and simply exquisite decor, fit for a princess. As she walks down the aisle to meet her groom, she will see views of the iconic castle. She will breathe in every bit of magic that the theme park has to offer as she looks at her groom standing in the distance. The couple will recite their vows in front of loved ones while photographers catch the most amazing pictures.

For any Disney lover, this sounds pretty darn perfect!

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Disney World has quite a few locations for weddings in 2016 and beyond.

“From a wedding over a lotus-filled Lilly pond in Epcot’s China courtyard to an English garden inspired wedding on the croquet lawn of Disney’s Boardwalk Inn, brides can choose from a variety of unique locations starting at $2,500 for a standalone ceremony package. The venues are also available for those hoping to renew their wedding vows with the magic of Disney all around them.”
