‘Game of Thrones’ Season Update: Khaleesi And Khal Drogo May Be Reuniting Soon

Game of Thrones is back for season 6, and while we are all anxious for Jon Snow to return, another much-loved character could also be making a comeback in the upcoming season.

Khal Drogo, portrayed by actor Jason Momoa, is one of the main characters from Game of Thrones season 1 as the chieftain of the Dothrakis and husband to now phenomenal Game of Thrones character Daenerys Targaryen. Although they came off on a rocky start, with their marriage being a marriage of convenience and Daenerys being practically sold off for troops, the two did hit it off. But sadly, when things are going better, Game of Thrones had to break it off with the rather sad and heartbreaking death of Khal Drogo.

Jason Momoa is an American actor, model, director, writer, and producer and has been very busy after his stint on the Game of Thrones. We saw him star in the SundanceTV series The Red Road, he became Aquaman at some point, and we are again looking to see him in Frontier, set to premiere soon. With three movies also still in post-production, Jason Momoa had been working his abs off after Game of Thrones.

This writer, too, confesses to be a fan of the Khal Drogo and Khaleesi tandem, even after their fateful separation in Game of Thrones season 1. Who can say no to Khal Drogo’s beautiful long hair, anyway? Being a fan, we tend to cling on to every hope that Khal Drogo could be returning to Game of Thrones, and with the recent posts by Jason Momoa, we may actually be getting something real soon.

After the season 6 premiere of Game of Thrones, Jason Momoa took to Instagram to express his undying love and admiration for his wife that survived him, the Khaleesi Daenerys Targaryen. Khal Drogo-Khaleesi fan or not, you will sure love how Jason Momoa cheers on for Emily Clark’s spunk in the latest season of Game of Thrones.

See you soon could be a lot of things for someone who is actually connected to a show like Game of Thrones. See you soon could just mean a harmless bid of intention to drop by the set and catch up with the folks, or it could actually mean a legitimate see you soon for an upcoming taping.

Following this Instagram post by Khal Drogo is another snapshot of Khaleesi Daenerys Targaryen from Season 1.

If you’re not familiar with the names dropped in this post, Jason Momoa pertains to David Benioff and Dan Weiss, head writers of Game of Thrones.Game of Thrones have constantly been filming around Northern Ireland and Momoa’s mention of the place could mean he really has plans to drop by the set. For what? Again, we can only speculate. As Momoa ends his Game of Thrones tribute post with “Aloha Drogo,” we are left more frustrated: does this mean Goodbye, Drogo or Hello, Drogo?

A Khal Drogo cameo isn’t far from impossible given that he already has appeared once after his death in Game of Thrones season 1. While surely a reincarnation isn’t a close guess (given that he was already cremated when he died in Game of Thrones season 1; but then again, it’s Game of Thrones! Anything can happen!), surely another Khaleesi hallucination or maybe a flashback could grant him some screen time. Daenerys is back among the Dothraki and it’s only the perfect time for some Khal Drogo cameo.

The Dothraki and Khal Drogo were very significant in Daenerys Targaryen’s life and evolution in Game of Thrones. Now that she is back where she first found the leader in herself, it is only going to be truly inspiring, heartbreaking, and heartwarming all at the same time if Khal Drogo could again, move her forward.
