‘Bachelor’ Baby Boom — A Look At The Former Reality Stars Expecting In 2016

Not every relationship on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette has ended happily ever after. However, some of the finalists have proven to be great matches and even went on to start families together. With the recent news that Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried are expecting a baby, here is look at other former reality stars creating a Bachelor baby boom in 2016.

For starters, ABC News is reporting that Hartsock and Siegfried are gearing up for their first child together. The former Bachelorette star revealed in an Instagram post that she and Siegfried are thrilled to welcome their first kid into the world.

“We have a bun in the oven and it’s not the warm pastry kind!” Hartsock shared. “We are beyond excited to share that we have a little one on the way!! A new chapter we are both looking forward to.”

According to Bustle, Hartsock and Siegfried were in Hawaii celebrating their anniversary when they discovered that she was pregnant. The news also coincided with Valentine’s Day, though their actual wedding anniversary is in January.

At the same time, Jillian Harris is also expecting her first child this year. Harris appeared on The Bachelor’s 13th season and starred in Season 5 of The Bachelorette. Although she eventually split with her pick on the show, Ed Swiderski, she discovered true love when she met Justin Pasutto.

In fact, in a post to Instagram, Harris revealed her pregnancy status and expressed her excitement for the birth of their first child. Not only are the two thrilled to have a baby, but they could hardly contain their excitement at becoming parents.

“I can’t remember a time where my heart has been SO full,” she wrote alongside a photo of her baby bump. “A total dream come true!! We are over the moon, stoked, blessed, ecstatic!!!! Little babe, we CANNOT wait to meet you!!!!!”

Also a part of the Bachelor baby boom, Ali Fedotowsky and Kevin Manno are also gearing up for their first baby in the coming year. Fedotowsky was featured on The Bachelor’s 14th season as well as The Bachelorette’s Season 6. Despite her engagement to Roberto Martinez, the two decided to call it quits in 2011. Fortunately, Fedotowsky found a perfect match in Manno, and the two are set to have a baby girl sometime this year.

Speaking of a perfect couple, Catherine Giudici and Sean Lowe have had a long road to parenthood. The ideal pair met during Lowe’s time on The Bachelor, which ended with their surprise engagement. However, they decided to hold off on sex until their wedding night. After finally exchanging vows in 2014 – during a special on live TV nonetheless – the two are gearing up to start a family of their own.

“There’s been no problems! No sickness. I think being tired is the extent of my symptoms,” Giudici explained to ABC News. “I’ve been very blessed. We’re very, very lucky.”

Lastly, Emily Maynard and Tyler Johnson have officially announced that their second baby is on the way. Maynard had a difficult time finding love on reality TV. Despite Maynard’s engagements to The Bachelor’s Brad Womack and later to Jef Holm, a contestant on The Bachelorette, she did not settle down until meeting Johnson back in 2013. Since then, the two have already had one child together and are set to welcome another.

Aside from the births in 2016, The Hollywood Gossip is reporting that several other reality stars have gone on to start families together in the past. This includes the likes of Jason Mesnick, Trista Sutter, Renee Oteri, Ashley Rosenbaum, and Melissa Rycroft. The system might not render a perfect match every time, but at least some of the stars eventually find love.
