‘Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare’ Teasers Drop In ‘Black Ops 3’, Social Media

The Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare leaks have stopped long enough for Activision and Infinity Ward to unleash the teasers. Black Ops 3 now features an in-game teaser, while a teaser trailer has dropped all over social media.

The video titled “Know Your Enemy” features a man in military armor with what appears to be a SDF logo on the chest. The entire video has glitches that show the Ghost Face logo from Call of Duty: Ghosts popping up occasionally along with the text “NUK3TOWN ONLINE.”

“Make no mistake. We will rip you from the history books. Every last trace of you gone! You will know loss. We will be the architects of your pain. We will build monuments to your destruction. The whole world will bear witness to this, our ascension. We will blot out your sky. We will bury you in darkness. Know this and know us. We are your enemy. We are the Settlement Defense Front.”

This video has appeared on the Call of Duty website, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and even inside Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 as part of the aforementioned “Nuk3town Online” multiplayer map. YouTube content creator PrestigeIsKey shared the following from his Twitter account.

The unknown man in the video is clearly the leader of the Settlement Defense Front, but nothing more is known about him at the moment other than he is likely the main villain in the upcoming Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. He does look different in the Black Ops 3 footage with what looks like some sort of future tech headpiece gong around the back and sides of his head.

This in-game footage comes after a giant space ship appeared in the skybox for “Nuk3town Online” on Friday. This was the tease that led to the video appearance today.

Leaks from earlier this week covered by Inquisitr revealed Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be officially unveiled on or before Tuesday, May 3. This followed a listing for the game appearing on the PlayStation Store and being shared throughout social media.

Dedicated Call of Duty website Charlie Intel then received an image from a source for a Target pre-order card for something called the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition. This comes with the game plus a remaster of the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. It also showed a November 4, 2016 release date for the game. A clearer image of what is likely a Canadian retailer poster was later leaked.

The Infinity Ward and Call of Duty Twitter accounts both indirectly confirmed the Modern Warfare remaster by posting “Stay Frosty” and a poop emoji. It makes more sense when you see the image below.

Activision has filed trademark applications for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Infinite Warfare, as discovered by VideoGamer. This is as much of a confirmation the game is going to get outside of a proper reveal by the publisher and Infinity Ward.

Current rumors suggest Infinite Warfare will take place in the far future versus the near future settings of recent releases such as Black Ops 3 and Advanced Warfare. Noted NeoGAF leaker Shinobi602 and gaming website Eurogamer both reported the series will embrace a science-fiction theme with warring factions battling it out in space and on spaceships. Shinobi also claimed the game will feature a “central hub area that’s a form of living space station. Think the Battlestar Galactica loading bay.”

The video released today suggests Infinite Warfare will be set in the same universe as Infinity Ward’s last effort, Ghosts. It will be interesting to see how fans react to the developer’s newest entry after the poor reception of the previous Call of Duty title.
