Bethenny Frankel On ‘RHONY’ Drama: ‘I Don’t Trust John, I Have Made That Clear’

Bethenny Frankel is known for being an outspoken reality star, and she doesn’t hold back when it comes to her thoughts and feelings. So many viewers of The Real Housewives of New York expected things to blow up when Dorinda Medley and John Mahdessian decided to show up to Bethenny’s BBQ birthday party. He had just yelled at her three days before about her stealing a business idea and not being able to hold a relationship. And rather than apologize, John just walked into Bethenny’s party expecting everything to be fine.

According to a new Bravo report, Bethenny Frankel is now revealing that she really doesn’t like John, and she decided to keep the peace because she adores Dorinda. Frankel could have easily throw John out of the party, but that may have put more fuel on the fire.

“I felt for Dorinda but perhaps a little bit too late. Perhaps I don’t like or trust John or his influence on Dorinda. I have made that clear. Last week he attacked my personal life and the business that I created from scratch when I was broke. This is when I become like a lion protecting its young,” Frankel reveals on her blog, explaining why she took such a strong stance with him at her birthday BBQ.

Of course, Bethenny Frankel was upset with John, and since he hadn’t apologized, she felt it was a mistake for him to come. Of course, she had extended an invitation to Dorinda prior to the fight, and she didn’t want to retract the invitation. Bethenny reveals that she really doesn’t trust him at all, especially since he didn’t apologize for his behavior.

“Now, two days later, she, in my opinion, mistakenly brings him to my birthday party. He, in my opinion, mistakenly comes. The sight and presence of him was too much for me. I didn’t want him there. I made that clear. I didn’t buy his apology. Now I need to try to suck it up for Dorinda. A bitch I may be but an honest one. I don’t “act” or play it up or down for the cameras because I know the audience may find me harsh. This guy had no place at my house two days after the incident,” Bethenny Frankel reveals, hinting that he should have stayed home.

When Dorinda started crying and feeling caught in the middle, Frankel decided to tell John that they could be civil for the sake of Dorinda. She said it in a cold voice and immediately walked away from him. Clearly, Bethenny Frankel just wanted to keep the peace.

On the following day, Bethenny decided to show up to Jules Wainstein’s home for a brunch. During the brunch, Bethenny Frankel, and Carole Radziwill sat together and they didn’t feel comfortable there, as Dorinda and John were the only other people there. It was awkward that they showed up.

“I made it clear to Carole that I was dreading it, and I made a mistake in being there. I truly thought it would be a big group,” Bethenny Frankel explains in her blog, sharing that she probably should have stayed home.

During this brunch, they did seem like the two mean girls. Bethenny Frankel and Carole sat in the corner and talked about Jules’ body and eating issues. Plus, they decided to go for a tour to get away from John, Luann de Lesseps, and Dorinda. They had no desire to hang out with their co-stars and they quickly ran out of the home when things got to be too awkward. It will be interesting to see how things develop next week, as the women are back in New York.
