‘Teen Mom 2’ Leah Messer Celebrates Her Birthday In Los Angeles While Corey Simms Keeps Their Kids In West Virginia

Leah Messer and the cast of Teen Mom 2 traveled to Los Angeles last weekend for filming on the Season 7 reunion and to celebrate Leah Messer’s 24th birthday.

On April 25, In Touch Weekly reported news of Leah Messer’s recent celebration and shared photos from the behind-the-scenes party thrown by the staff of Teen Mom 2, as well as her co-stars, Kailyn Lowry, Jenelle Evans, and Chelsea Houska, who sang her happy birthday during the fete.

In photos from the event, Leah Messer was seen with her co-stars and her youngest daughter, Adalynn, 3, who traveled with her to the west coast. Meanwhile, Leah Messer’s first husband, Corey Simms, kept her twin girls, Ali and Aleeah, 6, back home in West Virginia.

Leah Messer and Simms are currently at odds on Teen Mom 2 Season 7. During one of the first few episodes of the show, Leah Messer was seen losing custody of the twins to Simms due to her alleged inability to get them to school on time. Although Leah Messer denied being late to school, her daughter, Ali, told her father that she had been taking them to school late while he and his wife, Miranda, got her and Aleeah to school on time.

After the episode aired, Leah Messer fought back against footage online, claiming editors had made her look bad. She also went on a rant against MTV after last week’s episode, which featured her talking to her ex-husband, Jeremy Calvert, in what appeared to be an effort to get back with him.

Days later, a source claimed Leah Messer, who labeled Teen Mom 2 a “fake a**” TV show, was upset because it was actually Calvert who was “begging” to get back with her.

“[Leah Messer] wrote that because the show cut out everything on Jeremy’s side,” an industry source told People Magazine last week. “He was the one who was begging her to come back and to give him another chance. He was the one that coordinated the date and to try to make it work.”

“The show was edited to make it seem like she was the one doing it and didn’t show anything about Jeremy, and she wanted to set the record straight,” the source added.

Weeks prior, Leah Messer told fans she was upset with MTV after they edited the show to appear different than her real life.

“It’s so sad how the person behind the editing can even live a happy life by editing to manipulate the audience watching. It makes me feel like my story just isn’t enough,” Leah Messer wrote in response to a fan who asked her why she continues to film the show while being “bashed.”

“It hurts to feel BETRAYED by the ones I THOUGHT I could trust with my story. It goes to show you how ‘THE ENTERTAINMENT WORLD’ really is,” Leah Messer continued.

Leah Messer then appeared to threaten to quit the show if MTV didn’t begin sharing her true life story with their audience.

“I hope to continue to share my story but I REFUSE to allow it to be twisted for the benefit of a NETWORK!” she said.
